Full? But there’s always room in Jello!

      That should be, “There’s always a 10′ x 10′ room for Jell-o!”

They just eventually drop whatever they can’t digest.

Like goldfish, they grow to fill their environment.

      Also dueling banjos

“Duelling Banjos” has no rythmic clapping. Not as a specific part of the music, anyway.

No, it has the other banjo

Addams Family theme works too but with snaps.

Only if they have a banjo to reply with. Which in some places could be entertaining.

This might work with “If you are happy and you know it…” if they are exceptionally stupid.

“if they are exceptionally stupid…” I’d not bet against it. To paraphrase an earlier comic, Gnolls seem to come in two varieties – “cunningly malevolent”, and “dumb as a post”. Guess which one the two minions are? 🙂

Nice…and much more style than the classic ‘Marco Polo’ gag. 🙂

The look on the left Gnoll’s face is priceless.
Also, did Mike intend for their armour to resemble dungarees?

    • Sofa Spud
      June 23, 2010, 4:11 pm | # | Reply

You must be in the UK… On the left side of the Pond, “dungarees” means “jeans;” the gnolls are wearing bib overalls.

        Excuse me.
        Our language. Our world standard.
It isn’t a given that someone calling them dungarees is from the UK… only that they’re not American.

Heh, No wonder the leader is having a problem, his minions are clapping to the theme from Friends. Not a behavior he would want to reward, eh?

The clever part is – in keeping with Mimic’s effort to “keep this a family webcomic” – that’s not really an obscenity when you apply it to gnolls. ALL male gnolls are the male children of female canines, yes?

      • Lucis
        November 20, 2011, 10:35 am | # | Reply

Actually, funny thing. Hyenas aren’t canines. They’re more closely related to civets and mongooses, and thus cats.

If anything, this means calling them ‘sons of bitches’ is even MORE insulting.

I’m reminded of the scene in ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’, where Judge Doom is trying to draw Roger out of hiding?

    “Shave and a haircut.

    *tap tap ta tap tap*

    Shave… and… a hair… cut……”

8 years later and I just realize that, as dog-like gnolls, they really are sons of bitches.
