The most surprising thing here is that Soft Tail's helmet works.

Careful! If it bounces one more time it’ll make a pentagram.

And shoot the guard in the knee! He’ll have to leave this universe and go to Skyrim after that…

The bolt bounced off Blood Bath and Cube before crossing to Angelissa’s shoulder, so it wouldn’t be a pentagram per se. But pretty close.

And that is why you take your glove off to be precise.

The glove is what she threw! (Presumably she wanted to annoy the bird but not do it damage.)

…but it has to be EXACTLY a million to one.

Thing is, though, that it has to be pointed out that it’s exactly a one in a million chance (or million to one – which is not quite the same (1:999999 vs 1:1000000) but sources don’t quite agree which one it is), even if it’s just by the narrator, or it won’t work.

Wouldn’t a million to one be 1000000:1? As in, extremely probable?

Generally ‘million to one odds’ is used in reference to the odds *against*, and as it’s kind of become a cliche so the ‘against’ doesn’t need said; but yeah, just on its own, ‘million to one’ would be very good odds.

Wait, didn’t the derro on the ground get street-pizza’d by the castle tower?

That was Dogtown, I… can’t remember the name of the super muscular one at the moment, but no, he’s still fine.

He’s Bloodbath. Ironically enough, he isn’t the puddle of blood on the ground.

The one tied up with Soft Tail is Rib Cage, the possible necromancer with the whispery voice (to paraphrase my Captcha, you might call him “the Eerie one”). Blood Bath is the one by himself, horizontally, and secured with hopefully more/better chains, in the panel with Derek and Cube.

Wait, what’s the real sequence of events here? The ordering of the vignettes or the path of the arrow? Are there some 4d-shenanigans going on?

In order to time flies like an arrow, you obviously need a stopwatch. What I don’t understand is whether the flies you time should be like an arrow in some way, or whether you can time any flies, as long as you time them like an arrow would.

Calling it now, the arrowhead strikes a spark that just so happens to ignite something explosive inside that tower, which then proceeds to blow a hole in it about as wide in diameter as Dorilys is tall.

I bet the arrow will do nothing. But still an impressive and a very lucky shot.
