Well, let hope that Bigguns appreciates that the injury she’s about to receive to a sensitive place is For The Greater Good!

I am ashamed that I looked at panel 3 and thought up a porn story.

Now I am also ashamed that I’m going to add Presti’s line “Ugh, why’s it leaking?”

        You’re a dirty, dirty person.
If you ever commit it to writing, please share the link, so that we’d know where we should never ever venture, lest we defile our souls and brains for all eternity.

Roxxie pulls out her lute and sings:
“Angelissa climbed the castle, a mounted turret she was seeking,
A naïve Presti watched, then queried us, ‘Ugh, why’s it leaking?’
Buggins climbed off when she felt the castle move no more,
The circus folk began to curse, when the castle began to snore!”

LOL Dorilys, cleric of “circumstance” (a.k.a. “luck”) saying “let’s see if I get lucky”.

    Was that a prayer?

Remember, she’s green because her party was out of supplies and had to drink from a well that turned out to be cursed or something.

She’s philosophical enough to know that their luck could have been worse. She knows that luck can be bad as well as good.

So, the castle was alive even before it was animated? Well, gives “Castle Life” another meaning, I suppose.

It could be all the fungus that’s been growing. Sure, it’s technically alive already, but the spray could have animated it. That would account for the missing water too.

But the water is missing because they tossed a recanter in there.

The water level in the moat was gradually lowering before that too.

This one; page 57, where Presti asks “Ugh, why’s it leaking?” On the page before it, there are some small purple blobs visible on the broken surface of the stone, but that’s about all I could find.

I think the page where we can see what she means is this one: https://rustyandco.com/comic/level-11-56/
though they did the fixing two pages later.

It was in level-11-56 last panel and level-11-57 first panel.

Everyone’s given the helpful links, but you can also see it on the earlier page, level 11 page 42. It just hadn’t started leaking yet. (I’m late enough as it is, so I won’t risk hyperlink jail.)

If the castle has been alive all along, and then, when it got the ability to move its towers, its first move was to swat a derro, it must have found the derro particularly irritating. I understand why everyone else would find the derro particularly irritating, but it is not so clear why the castle finds them more irritating than Grawlf and his fungus, for example.

I don’t think the ooze inside the castle walls is in control of the castle’s movement. Think of it as though someone animated a suit of armor while you were still in it.

Now, I hate to play the “I told you so” card, but…

    I called it last strip.

Although I didn’t fully envision the castle being animated as a golem independently of the living creature inside it… the thick plottens.
