I’m going to feel very stupid for not knowing this already, but can someone with a better memory for the comic’s trivialities tell me: what is the “I Heart HC” referring to? Obviously C is City, but do we know what the big city in this setting is called? I don’t remember it coming up.
But I’m starting to wonder: Who’s the beast? The obvious thought was Rusty – but would a bug-creature consider another bug-creature a beast? Especially when they’ve said they admire them?
The zombies who have gathered here for the feast might consider him one, though. And because their brains are not working at peak efficiency, those who remember how to use weapons might inadvisedly try bringing a knife to a rust monster fight.
