Wow, those daggers really are strong. They can crack stone.

An impressive number of them, too. I count thirteen pointy weapons of one variety or another sticking out of the walls, and she’s still got five in hand…

Maybe the Animate Stone / Animate Object spell cast on the room’s walls, floor and ceiling lowered the Hardness / AC of them.

Fourteen if you count the one in the door.

      It’s all in the wrist.

      Also, Maddie is totally adorable.

I don’t understand. I keep casting cure wounds, but he keeps getting worse. Maybe I should try a stronger healing spell.

I recall Stabs saying once that she carried 42 daggers, so she has a fair number still in reserve. Assuming that she hasn’t increased the number since then, that is.

82 daggers. Stabitha was carrying 82 daggers on the geas road.

Additionally, I note a shuriken also embedded in the ceiling; is Stabs branching out, or did someone else toss that?

Maybe her weaponsmith gives a free shuriken with every 12-pack of daggers.

My bet is Dirk or Kris threw it. Mike? Where’d the shuriken come from?

Halflings used to get a +1 Attack Bonus with all Thrown / Hurled weapons. So anythin that can be thrown and does piercing damage fits the motif.
      “Idiom, sir!”
I think this city is sufficiently large that procurement isn’t THAT big an issue.

I give Maddie 50/50 odds that she realizes that they are fighting instead of playing some sort of game.

But will she realize that they are fighting against each other ?

    Okay, so some thoughts:
    “MANY ENLIST BUT
    FEW SEEK THE PRIZE”
“Obviously” a reference to the Games… (thus, not so obvious… but probably)

    “A PRINCESS CONTESTS
    WITH WILD, FUN GUYS”
I’ve seen it theorized that this could be an implication of upcoming myconid/mushroom people…

    “WORDS FROM A CHEST:
    A CHAMPION DECREED”
First thought is Mimic announces the winners of the Games. Second thought is trapped chancellor (al-la Chrono Trigger.)

    “AN EVIL ‘NEATH THE STADE
    A DOOGAN SHALL FREE.”
Alright, the part I’m here about!
IF Sir Malevolus is the “evil ‘neath the Stade,” which Doogan let him out?
My plot-sense is tingling though, and I’m pretty sure that is going to be something far worse that gets freed!
(Also YOU PUT RUSTY DOWN RIGHT NOW, MISTER!)
(Also, also… WHY is Derek’s study near the dungeons? More plot-sense…)
