If you want something to read, how about The Deathworlders? There’re a lot of side-stories for that (primarily these, but there are quite a few more beyond them).

If you’re more for webcomics, how about PS238? Or Nodwick? Or Digger?

I have lots and lots (and lots!) more where those came from, too.

If you HAVE read Digger, give it another go and then read Rusty&Co’s archives again. It’ll be worth it.

If you’re all caught up here, you can also try out d20monkey.com or JL8. They’re two of my gamer-geek favorites.

Everyone should read Digger. Three or four times, preferably. I think I’ve done five myself.

It’s gonna break your heart a little. Which may not be a downside at all, depending on your reasoning.

I just read all of Digger. So, so good. Thank you for the link! Gonna check out the other links you left, too. Once I get some food. Archive binging is hard on the biology. >.>

Just finished Digger myself, good gravy its SO DAMN GOOD. I wish there were more…but I suppose there wont be any…and Ursula’s “other work” page leads to a virus popup so i guess im doomed to no more.

I’m a longtime fan of OotS! (Not as long as some fans, mind you, but long-ish.) As per this recommendation, I blew through Digger’s archives and, well… I was rather disappointed.

… Disappointed that it was over so soon, that is. >;p It was a great story, with a lot of Bone vibes. Which is great, seeing as Bone is one of my favorite graphic novel series of all time!

Though I’ve got to wonder what sort of person thinks offering metal to a rust monster is some kind of code? Especially since it was discussed at the beginning of the game that Rusty would find them yummy.

What happens to the angular momentum of a saw blade when a rust monster touches it? Does it dissolve faster than it shreds? If it doesn’t, Rusty might be in trouble, that could chop his antennae off.

Not sure about a saw blade, since it’s considerably faster than my example, but he can certainly parry a spear thrust: http://rustyandco.com/comic/level-6-1/
