I couldn’t find her for a while. She does not look pleased.

Has anyone ever seen her pleased? She’s the antithesis of the ever-cheerful Madeline, after all

Wait, he’s a mimic. Can’t he shapeshift into something with hands?

As far as I’m aware, he cannot morph into anything while retaining the ability to move – he’s always stationary when he hides.

It was probably hard enough to find a box design that can walk in the first place.

He shouldn’t have to, look at the size of his strike zone. That pitcher would need to be absurdly accurate & precise with his throwing to strike mimic out (unless he swings, which given his past…everything, would be a mistake)

Best I can think of is an armoire.

Of course duct tape works in baseball. Duct tape works everywhere. Duct tape is magic and should be worshipped.

Doesn’t it have a religion already? I seem to recall, “It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together” from somewhere… some movie…

I think they’re using some minor angel (packing tape maybe?) instead of the full holiness.

      Nice The Martian citation.

I love how Anti-Madie is making tye Yak-Yak sign. I can’t wait to see what Mimic is going to do at bat.

We all know Anti-Maddie is thinking “I’m letting MY lackey do all the talking right now.”

Boxford seems to be an expert at dodging,
if previous combat is any indication,
so I think the attempted assassination is going to backfire…
I wonder if he can be the ball?

Huh. Those line breaks accidental or deliberate? If deliberate, bravo. I like skalding wit.

As a rule of thumb, if anything is even remotely funny on this page, it was a deliberate pun.

Well, of the comic, of course. I was referring to Voidbane’s comment which struck me as viking saga style since we’re commenting on the recent actions of this bloodsport. (BTW, any blood eagle moves coming up?)

        Skalding or not

That’s odd, couldn’t Mimic just mimic a bat ,and have someone else use him to hit? Or would that hurt too much/against the rules?

Again, mimic draws you out and steals the show! XD He’s really got a handle for comedy. [:P] He’s olio gonna get flattened unless he has a secret power he’s yet to get off his chest. [:P]

But serious, puns aside, does anyone else always him with an insanely strong Detroit accent? [:P] Or have I got it totally wrong, and someone should box my ears? [:P]

I always imagine him with a Jamaican accent a la Sebastian the crab from The Little Mermaid. I’m most likely wrong, but that’s how I imagine him.

Sebastian in English has a JAMAICAN accent?! *rushes off to watch movie in English*

I’ve always read him with more of a Jersey accent myself…

Huh… [:P] Everyone seems to have a different accent pinned to him. [:P]

I just think he sounds like like a more soft-spoken Acer from Cars 2. [:P]

Since he turns “t”s into glottal stops, he might have a Western US accent. Something like Nevada, Utah, or Colorado.

If this arc doesn’t end with him disguising himself as a base and tricking someone into thinking they’re safe…
