Of course Rusty has bad press among these people: he is the true enemy of the adventurer, the gear-destroying monster.
Gashes, broken bones, dismemberment, even death are nothing a good Cleric cannot fix. But let a Rust monster touch your faithful +4 adamantium full plate, and that’s 10 levels worth of loot down the drain.

Sir Malevolus, either Rusty or the universe is onto you. It may not be too late to run for safety; but please stay around…
Dang, that’s quite a bit of power for a wooden bat to impart to a metal ball and not break. Must be enchanted.
Still, I’m guessing the green robed guy can see just far enough into the future to enjoy seeing stuff like Sir Malevolus get hit in the face by random objects twice unlike us mere mortals who only get to see it once.
The Alt-Text refers to him as the royal Sage, so I doubt it.
“The princess just keeps the royal sage around so she doesn’t have to berate idiots herself.”
Double header — Game 1 = hit ball, score a run; Game 2 = eliminate any/all opposition. Or at least a good try because I think that is a foul ball and metal dude isn’t actually on the troll team so not a legal target. On the good side, isn’t Rusty then allowed to bat again? (I’m guessing. Baseball isn’t my game.)
…IF the Princess’s booth is back along the back wall; if she’s located along the first or third baselines, that was only a foul ball…and that’s just taking into account the configuration of boring old ‘normal’ baseball; Gnome Baseball may be more complex (q.v. “heading for right first base”)
So, if one of the ball-spikes had impaled his face & just stuck there, would that be considered a “catch”(& therefore an “out”), or would it be a “Home-run”?

Way to lose face in front of the princess.
Doubt he’ll just take that on the chin.
I see the puns are on the nose, as usual.
Probably no big deal. Just a hairline fracture.
You gotta keep an eye out for hazards like that in these sorts of games.
I wonder what took him so long… Maybe his car conked out?
Next time he’ll show up ear-ly.
Gotta keep ahead of the game.
Couldn’t lose face more if he lost a fight to Scorpion.
Rusty makes first face!
Second face, actually, Cube already stole first face. :p
Pretty sure cube has 6 faces already.
I love how all the people “boo’ing” Rusty are wearing heavy armor. π
Good eye for detail … π

+5 bat of homerun
Legacy weapon of Babe Ruth?????
It’s actually the Casey Bat; it’s got a -10 to hit, but always crits.
That “green-robed guy” is the one Malevolous addressed as “Your Highness”. Oh, and I like the Princess’s beer hat.

Home run or foul ball?
Boom, headshot.

How did he even hit the ball? To his tail around for a good swing over home plate I would think that he would have had to deck the catcher.
Rusty is further in front when he hits the ball than in the panel before, maybe he did some sort of charge?
Any guesses as to what Sir Malevolus was about to say then the ball hit him in the face?
Also, I missed that those booing Rusty were all wearing heavy armor till I read the comments.
I assume he was about to say “I’m not sure what you mean.” or something along those lines.
Thanks. That makes more sense than “I’m not surprised” or “I’m not supposed to”.
Perhaps, “I’m not sure offhand. Who was it?”
audience participation!
:chortle:
Well rusty seems very goal oriented
Best part about getting a home run. Rusty can take his time eating the traps. No need to hurry.

Well, his eye was definitely on the ball…
And now everything from his right ear to his right nostril is, too.
I believe his eye was more on the prize!
^..^
“You’ve not answered me. Are you interested or no?”
I’m guessing the Princess’s favorite team is the Royals?
SCOTT STERLING WITH THE SAVE!!!

I don’t know baseball, but I’m pretty sure that you have to be a member of the opposing team to catch someone out.
What is that around the Princess’s head? Some kind of weird double silly straw thing?
It’s a beer hat
