Pointing a spell-laden finger at the Princess, especially a Hulk Princess, seems like a bad idea … the anticipation builds!

“Hulk”? Please, it’s clearly The Thing.
So little consideration for The Ever-Lovin’ Blue-Eyed Thing!

People forget because the Fantastic Four is the only Marvel property that can’t seem to get a decent movie made about them.

The one made by Pixar turned out good. They mixed up the characters’ powersets a bit and changed the costumes, but they got the family dynamic part right. …Wait, that was the Incredibles. Nevermind.

It’s because they’ve been trapped in the clutches of the Fox, who always coveted the riches of Mouse. But the Fox could never make it shine the way the Mouse made his own gems shine, and jealousy kept a suffocating hold over his unfulfilled prize just to keep it out of the Mouse’s hands…

          But the Mouse ALWAYS wins…

    Errr …. collaboratin’ time”???

I realize that you probably can’t use “clobberin’ time” for copyright reasons, but I think you could have used a more appropriate word than collaborate. “Smashing time!”, “Bashing time”, “Killing time” etc. would all work.

This way, we are left wondering with whom or what the Princess is going to collaborate, and upon what endeavor. Collaborate with a ghost writer to compose her memoirs? Maybe she has changed her alignment, and is actually going to collaborate with the Eldrich Abomination in tearing down the stadium?

OK, I suppose she could just be referring to the two of them working as a team, but it’s still a bit ambiguous. She could have given them a team name, for example. “The Inedible Bulk and Dr. Stranger” sounds pretty decent.

The Inedible Bulk’s been used, in a parody comic I once read. As for “Clobbering Time” it probably is trademarked, though I’ve seen it used in other stories. They usually attribute by saying “As a certain orange pile of rocks says,” or something like that, to avoid copyright problems.

Why should the pitch-king buff the princess? He´s on Draco´s Team, Draco works for the Viscount (“friends in high places”) and the Viscount is all about regicide (reginacide, filia principicide, princessicide…)

Look at the second to last panel, why would he politely ask her to stop and then cast a damaging spell rather than simply attacking? That is why I say buff. If not, that makes it kind of weird no?

        June 15, 2019, 3:27 pm | # | Reply

It looks like he’s actually asking her to stop and then drawing her attention to something even worse behind her. Now the real question is what could be worse than the mock(ing) lobster she’s already aware of?

Drago clearly didn’t know what was happening when this Mehgod arrived, and we’ve yet to see any in-comic evidence that Drago and the Viscount are working together. (Drago waggling his finger in the air while the Viscount is in the background isn’t exactly enough to go on.)

All that’s to say that while we’ve no particular reason to be certain the Pitch King is buffing the Princess, we’ve also no reason to be certain that he isn’t.

I keep misinterpreting the swingwraith’s crown spikes as his eyes, and his visor as a nose. This makes his face look absolutely ridonkulous. Am I the only one?
