Malevolous should listen to Anti-Maldeline’s plans; she is quite the bright spark.
This chapter has gone from “Swing, batter!” to cake batter; way to think outside the matchbox. If the fairy is in there too, she has gone from bottle fairy to batter fairy–moreso if she ends up playing later.
This is probably as sweet as Anti-Madeline will ever be, so enjoy it. Everything about that cake is bad for your teeth, from the frosting to the plate armor.
Traditionally, when an chaotic evil woman jumps out of a cake for you, you expect her attire to ..um… have less layers than the cake itself.
Anti-Madeline is so Chaotic Evil that she outright defies the expected attire for cake jumping. Just to be evil!

Um, “Madeline” *does* rhyme with paladin if you pronounce it with a short “i”, which is how most people pronounce it in my experience. Whereas “Maladine” looks like it should be pronounced with a long “i”. Not that it isn’t a clever name, I just don’t think it’s a better rhyme.

The big question is whether Anti-M tagged along on the Viscount’s cake, or are they actually in cahoots?
So, does that make Ms. Bai the Lawful Evil? I’d peg her as a Lawful Neutral myself.
Her comment of “for Lawful’s sake” makes me suspect she’s yet another cleric, dedicated to the Law domain as Dorilys is to Luck (and probably Destruction, given the rube goldberg thing), and worshipping Law as a force rather than any deity.
Personally I would limit cleric saturation by using other classes such as Incarnate, Binder, and Spirit Shaman. But those aren’t OGL releases, so you can’t use them without having Wotco involved in your work (meaning you make even less money than a webcomic generally gets).
So the prophecy (“an evil beneath the stade a Doogan shall free”) gets fulfilled: Either Kris and Dirk being freed by Malevolous counts, or their bringing Anti-Maddie in the cake does.
