You'd think her smaller strike zone would help, but nope.

Not much into baseball, but… -9 to Giants?
    WOW?

      They started with a -10 penalty: http://rustyandco.com/comic/level-8-123/

And they’re still out of uniform – not a shoe in sight – so that 10 points may be just the start of their penalties… 🙂

Let’s see if I can guess what Mimic is saying in behind Stabs’s speech bubble in that first panel: “Stabs/I have to/seriously/doubt your/decision”? I’m not sure if the second and third lines I came up with are long enough to match the positioning when centered, though.

As far as the hovertext about her smaller strike zone, iirc, when the batter swings and misses, that counts as a strike, even if the ball didn’t go through the strike zone.

In which case sh’s better off taking than swinging.

To be fair, even if she didn’t take the swing, that ball was still straight through the Strike Zone!

A Hobbit’s strike zone is considerably smaller and lower. It’s practically a strike zone on strike.

        She should try stealing first.

Though she does take being the least competent player more graciously than Petey does.

        Not that that’s difficult

“I have some seiripus doubts about that decision” maybe?

Whoa! Doin’ good when you’re out jumpin’ the bullywugs…

Oh! And Stabs reminds me of ‘Lucy Van Pelt’ up to bat…

I could swear Stabs is playing for the Mets as we speak…

She even has a +1 size bonus to her attack rolls. Medium base attack bonus just doesn’t cut it in this league.

Well the ball is probably fine-sized and so has +8 AC, at least.

It might use the pitcher’s Dex bonus, too.

You know what Petey will really hate? The team doing even better in his complete absence.

I think I see stabs problem. she’s using a blunt weapon now if she did a simple modification, one known to thugs and anarchists from times gone by and passed down through the generations the great all powerful “nail bat” then she would probably have a better chance of striking the ball
