I doubt this situation was on Presti's mind when she prepped her spells this morning.

I imagine this will go as well as it did in Dexter’s Lab.

I hadn’t even considered that, and now I want to see it so bad.

Can’t imagine being replaced by the pug will do any wonders for Robespierre’s mood, though…

      I’m thinking Cube myself.

Now I got this mental image of a pen hovering around Petey’s knee, like those those kinds of graphics glitches that cause objects to be improperly anchored to models and clip through them. XD

I’ve always thought this would make a good tactic for a short character (or monster) to use in combat — disguise yourself as an ogre with an illusion, and while your opponent is swinging their sword above your head, cut them off at the knees.

Would only work if you had natural attacks, as otherwise your sword would obviously be at knee-level….

Depends on how the illusion works. It might conceal your real body, making any weapons you wield invisible, at least until you attack with them. Or, if it’s a spell that makes you look bigger, then your weapons would also appear bigger and in a different location than they actually are (like a displacer beast). In any case, you ought to be able to get at least one surprise attack, which could be devastating if you have a sneak attack bonus or a poisonous bite.

I dunno. Seems like Stabsy is coming up with something really chaotic random to me. ????

For all the time Stabs spends getting Presti and then fetching Slobber, and then casting the spell & bringing him to the cute clerk, she could have just followed the carnage out of the inn and got the real Robespierre. Just sayin’.

I beg to differ. Obviously she wants to be able to disguise herself as, “Agent Porkins,” in case things take a turn for the worse during the games.

I seriously wonder how will the Stabs blackmail that Blackguard dork to agree to this…

No need for blackmail. Just offer release (it’s part of the prophecy after all), in exchange for a favor, in this case, agreeing to it.

The blackguard wants to kill the halflings. Does stabs not know that?

          April 28, 2018, 2:11 am | # | Reply

Doesn’t matter. Being freed and put in a position where he might be under protection from the games is good incentive. The main reason he’s after the halflings is for his failed attempt on the princess; given a way to escape unscathed, and he might not even need them dead.

Plus, as shown by his intro, he’s smart and can do the math. He’d know to not double-cross the person he’s making a deal with, especially since they are GUARANTEED to be under the protection of the games.

I’m a bit of a lore hound, me – I love reading the background information of a setting.

So, I can see Dorilys is not on the cast page *or* monster guide.

So, Mike… Howsabout you give her an entry? 😀
