Oscar Wilde over here thinks he’s Machiavelli.

Terrible insult to Oscar Wilde, that.

Sadly, the royal ladders are made of balsa wood and unable to support the weight of Sir Malevolus’ matter(s).

    Unimpressed barkeep is unimpressed.
I guess being able to turn either 12-ft tall or invisible makes you able to deal with most patrons’ shenanigans.

Now, what’s this with “moving up the royal ladders”?

I know I’m way too late to the party, but those are the 3.5 Duergar’s* abilities: Growing in size, and becomming invisible.

        * : Duergar are to Dwarves what Drow are to Elves

A Bartender Is Just A Pharmacist With Limited Inventory …

You know, the logical conclusion to those last two statements is ‘So the Princess will deal with you’. I’m not sure I’d like those odds.

Now watch as Malevolus declines for specifically that reason…

“One must hear out the devil on one’s shoulder.”
I wonder if that’s literal… Will we see the return of Anti-Madeline?

Did I mention I like Malevolus? I like Malevolus. He’s got common sense.

I hope Malevolus’s common sense core diagram is as entertaining as last time. Really wanna see how he computes Robespierre and the Stabby kindred in the arena.

Not infinite though, or he would not try to overthrow the princess futilely, or be surprised that it got out.

Hmm … Malevolus might actually be cagey and cowardly enough to pull it off.

“Rum & Cloke”(-er-cola). Sounds suspiciously tasty.

Also love the “My ‘good’ fellow.” Definitely stealing that for one of the smarmy nobles in my CS.

      “Cloke”…?
      OH – thank God!
At 1st read, it came across as “Cloaca”, sorry!
(…well, in my defense, it *IS* supposed to be a disreputable dive, isn’t it…?)

Haha! I read that as “Coke” at first. That’s much better. Having that kind of detail is the difference between having a setting and a backdrop.

Personally I’d never trust a guy whose text bubbles swirl like that.
