Yeah, I get the feeling this is more Headology than magic.

Indeed. I notice he didn’t say to *whom* wealth would come, they just assumed it was them. Of course.

Whoever it comes to, I wouldn’t even bet that wealth changes hands, I’d say it’s just going to be a solid gold carriage driving out of Plaidbeard’s landship.

Sometimes Headology is stronger. Esme defeated the Voodoo witch with it, for example.

You get a circumstance bonus if the target wants to believe you.

he cannot do any divination right now, so yes.

add to that what he said : riches come to/from authority (ie respect the law to get rich)
i believe Derek has high intelligence charisma and wisdom, to pull that off easily

Even zoomed to 300% the pieces are hard to make out, however the top hat is obvious.

Wheelbarrow could be Mimic, dog could be Rusty, maybe shoe is one of the elves?

The wheelbarrow is a monopoly wheelbarrow, the car is monopoly car and hat is monopoly hat.
No magic were cast (derek even said as such, that he could not use divination during the match) unlike with the psion

This is show that the three thieves have no psychology nor wisdom and that they want to believe.

The real sneaky part? They’re so focused on who gets to be the car, that they aren’t thinking about who the Battleship will be.

You really have to be careful with those decisive board games. Humanopoly is infamous of course, but even wholesome titles like The Game of False Life have a dark energy to them.

Worse yet are those *divisive* board games. Thanks, auto-correct.

Coincidence; all things are fate. The meaning is as you find it, and Derek has found one. I LOVE the “household prophecy” trope, too.
