Roxy memorized the directions so she could keep her hands free. What a showoff.

No, actually, she doesn’t want to massively hurt them. She wants to save Cube and Mimic. Saving the kidnappers would qualify as a bonus. . .

Also, I hope Presti’s improvised solution for Stabs will not lead to later problems.

Now we get Roxy’s REAL answer to Stab’s question from last strip:

“D’you even know how to use that pigsticker?”
“Of course! I’ll flourish it dramatically for a circumstance bonus to social skills! And I might also carve a flute with it.”

And Madeline’s blushing again. I wonder if we’ll ever get to meet Derek the Cleric. 🙂

Hmm. . . we did meet the Wight Knight, after all.

You know, I just had a thought. Do you suppose Maddie and Derek might be married? I think Maddie’s old enough to get married, it would fit her personality, and it wouldn’t be too irrational for them to often have to work separately (happens the other way round with soldiers in our world all the time). Plus it would be really funny to see Maddie pregnant at some point.

I’m pretty sure being a show-off is one of the main class requirements for bards.

On a different subject, someone needs to figure out a way to make Madeline mention Derek more often.

On yet another subject, it seems lack of sleep isn’t doing any good to Presti’s accuracy.

I notice with some concern that Madeline is still unarmed.

Why? In her hands that shovel might as well have actually BEEN a Vorpal Halberd. She could pick up a stick and it would annihilate just about any who crossed her. Do not underestimate our dear paladin. She’ll do just fine.

Well, I’m curious what the special ‘ability’ of her next weapon will be – we’ve seen her with a Holy Avenger, and a Vorpal weapon…it’s late, it’s been a long day, and I’m kinda burnt out, so I’m not quite coming up with any really iconic magic weapon ‘templates’ off the top of my head…

I’m thinking about how nice it would have been to have five Robespierres along for the rumble.

Hm. Too bad not iron butterflies, I’m sure Stabs would’ve liked to add a few colorful balisong knives to her collection.

Five raging barbarians would equal dead Mimic and Cube since the Barbarians would probably kill them in their rages.

And what exactly did Presti do to leave burn marks on Stabs and the butterflies????

        Two words: Burning Hands.

I like how we’ve gone from a group of males with a token female to a group of females with a token male.

Not only that, but a group of humanoids with a token bug.

no token…..take a look at stab’s in the chestail region.

Blue Elite was probably referring to Rusty; I’m pretty sure we’re repeatedly heard a “he” pronoun in reference to the bug.

Wait… FIVE brothers? Robespierre wasn’t the only one?

… I now want to meet the other four.

I’m gonna make a blind guess, and say that Robespierre was the small and articulate one.

I doubt carving a dog whistle’s going to work this time, Roxy. Fool me once and all that.

I think Roxy thinks too much like a barbarian to think like Maddie thinks, when she thinks. I think.

Nothing’s better than silent background gags. This one is second only to Mimic being a speaker until one of the Pixie Chicks tried to plug in to him.
