Well, gnoll was walking down the street
            Just raising a stink
When a cube of a guy
            Gave him an evil blink.
            Well he shook him up
            It took him by surprise
He had a big pitch fork
And the none of his own eyes
            He whomped the gnoll
            And the gnoll felt twinge,
            Bones were broken
            Never be healed again!

Leaving Stabs there isn’t going to make anyone any friends.

Might be a little hazardous to their health, if Stabs misses enjoying this beatdown.

Shouldn’t they be checking on Maddie? They only have Grinner’s word for it that she’s dead.

I’m surprised that even Rusty is watching the show instead of eating the magnet.

Magnetism might be poisonous to rust-monsters; certainly, if I had an RM PC in my game, I’d introduce such a plot point.

It’s no longer magnetized, though. It was an electromagnet, but the electricity is cut off.

Still a great idea, having magnets be dangerous for rust monsters.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but in panel 3, the Grinner on Cube’s left side appears to have the pitchfork sticking through the wrong side of his hand?

    • Wyvern
      June 3, 2015, 2:58 pm | # | Reply

No, if you look closely at the curvature of the metal you can see that it’s still stuck in his palm. It just looks different because it’s flattened out so that it’s parallel with his hand, and the prongs are between his fingers.

      • Juan_Pablo
        June 3, 2015, 6:09 pm | # | Reply

If so wouldn’t his thumb be in the wrong side of the hand then?

        • Wyvern
          June 3, 2015, 6:26 pm | # | Reply

Hmm… I do believe you’re right! That’s a separate issue, though; you can tell the palm from the back of his hand by the way his fingers are curled, regardless of which side you think the prongs are piercing.

It seems Grinner’s knife’s blade sits in the handle at an akward angle; i think i owe Mike R and apology since i attributed it to art mistakes.

That would take over an hour! (With the number of knives she carries.) However I think it’s the weight that’s pinning her now, the electric current is off.

Hm, I wonder… How much WHUMP-WHOMPS can you fit in 1-round action? Cube seem to really break action economy there.

    • Burke
      June 6, 2015, 10:00 pm | # | Reply

I think he’s got Grinner effectively grappled or stun-locked. Whatever the rules for it, Grinner’s action each round is “try/fail to get loose,” while Cube’s action each round is “whump-whomp” (maybe twice, if he’s got the BAB for it). Thus, we could be seeing several rounds condensed into a glorious syrup of justice.

    • BusTotem
      June 8, 2015, 9:11 am | # | Reply

Probably trip-locked, since that’s a monk sort of thing to get good at.
“My action is to throw him down! *roll* Success! Free attack! And I blow the rest of my iteratives beating on him. His turn.. He tries to stand up.. incurring an attack of opportunity.. I throw him down! *roll* Two! I hit! And get a free attack!”

Isnt the wooden handle technically organic? How can cube even hold that thing.

    • Yang Koete
      June 8, 2015, 7:40 am | # | Reply

It’s usually treated wood for tools and such like pitchforks or shovels. Therefore; it would be toxic to Cube.
