The problem with putting on Gumgum armor is surviving the experience in the long term. Occasionally in the short term – okay, okay, okay… More often in the short term.

Last seen he was trussed up in a sack of synthetic fabric, wasn’t he?

go back a few pages, cube is suspended directly overhead of the current action in said sack. The sack dangling from a long single pole that might be vulnerable to something fired from the blue cannon that is situated just to the left of our current field of view.

We are also at the edge of a cliff over a river of lava and ways back behind our elven bard heroine is suspended Stabs But Stabs is not in a sack but still stuck to the electromagnet.

Maddy’s proximity to our current location is unknown, as is that of Rusty

Although perhaps Maddy will fall into view shortly. We have been told we are a few hundred feet below the funhouse, and Maddy was last seen falling downwards in the big top.

No alt-text, but there is a ‘transcript’ button now. That’s new.

Thanks for pointing it out, Fellow. I was wondering where the alt-text was. 🙂

Do anti-fire spells have a somatic component?

    • Sensei Le Roof

      Sure.

      1. Stand upright
      2. Aim at base
      3. Press nozzle

For a more serious answer, Resist Fire, Protection from Fire, and Quench all have somatic components. There are other anti-fire spells, but I only had the PHB on hand.

If I would choose anti-fire spell, that would be one of Teleport family…
And they don’t have somatics, what a coincidence!

    Candy floss is flammable.

I’m picturing a “WHOOMPH!” followed by Presti falling into a black, sticky mess of carbon. Cue smarty pants comment about carbon being diamonds in another form.

I think you’re forgetting the Dynamite Grinner embedded in the candyfloss golem. Enormous kaboom in 3 .. 2 .. 1 ..

Force, unless you want to houserule in a new damage type for “explosion.” I actually wouldn’t consider that unreasonable…

      Isn’t force damage explicitly magical?

I’ve said this before, but given the excellence shown again today it bares repeating.

You have some of the best expression work I’ve seen. Particularly Roxy in the 4th panel, just perfectly done wide eyed surprise. It regularly approaches (or even equals) Aaron William’s Nodwick run, which is a pretty damn high bar to clear.

So, story is engaging, can’t wait to see what’s next, etc. But I do appreciate the finer touches you bring artistically. Very, very well done.

I just notices Cubes cage has a crack in it, seems that shout might have been more potent than I thought.

Altho the lack of a double tap on our gnoll friend is just sloppy adventuring.
