Thanks for the Christmas present, Mike. 🙂

Presti never gives up. That’s good, but she needs to ramp up her effectiveness a tad.

She’s a BARD. What is this “effectiveness” thing you are talking about?

No, Presti is the Wizard. And she used her magic to look like the circus leader guy, remember?

Correct! The effective Bard is Roxie, the one being…delivered…by .. a pug.

    Perfect day for an update!

Yeah, Presti is out of ideas. But all Stabs has to do is give up her knives. All of them. It may take a while.

    Stupid, stupid villain.

Never believe someone’s dead until you’ve PERSONALLY dismembered and or disintegrated the body.

(That does tend to make my party’s good clerics and paladins rather cross with me, though.)

Oh I dunno, I usually play chaotic good, and a quick explanation would be enough to sanction that in my characters eyes.
      Chaotic Good! Best. Alignment. Ever.

On a related note, it always bugs me how people keep making crypts in settings overflowing with undead and necromancers. Unless they are YOUR necromancers and you are intentionally donating to them, when corpses have a realistic chance of getting up to cause trouble there is no reason for people to keep insisting on keeping bodies around.

Insufficient world-building. Any world with plentiful necromancer would probably require cremation to prevent that — perhaps they would explain it as freeing the soul from the danger.

The necromancers who only go about raising fleshy minions aren’t the ones to worry about, anyway. 😉
But I agree, cremation would be the logical way to go. Though… people and logic don’t always mix, for better and worse.

Okay just realized that Grinner’s using a cell phone, how did he get away with that?

He’s evil – why would he pick-&-choose which laws to break, when he can break ’em all?

For that matter, where did the circus get that horkin’ huge electromagnet?

Wondrous item with 2-way Sending capability? Grinner used less than 25 words.

The gold-farm wizard did mention that the walls of reality have been broken down a lot and are getting frayed. Presumably Grinner took advantage of that (whether or not he was the cause of it).

This isn’t the first time a cell phone has been used in this comic. Roxie had a Druid smart phone in Level 3, and Grinner has a feysbook account. http://rustyandco.com/comic/level-3-12/

Not to be confused with Order of the Stick’s cleric-specific version, “Macebook”.

Boot Cut is that little blue thing which fighted Madeline (the Paladin) on previous page. Also, for future reference: http://rustyandco.com/frequently-asked-questions/cast-page/

Boot Cut is the derro assassin in the pink leotard. Here: http://rustyandco.com/comic/level-7-65/ Poster, bottom left panel. I think her name is mentioned somewhere else, too, but I don’t have time to find it. 🙂

Wait a minute, if they are in caves, shouldn’t someone thrown with such force as to “still waiting for him (her?) to land” end up plastered all over tha cave ceiling?

For my curiosity, is that really lava? After all, they are all about misdirection and the conning of their clients. I find it hard to believe it would be real lava that they would allow themselves even the slightest risk using, just for the sake of milking the public. More likely, it is something else that looks like lava, feels warm like lava (from a distance), but is probably chocolate milk or something. Since Bootcut isn’t there yet, she can’t tell them it isn’t real (it’s her specialized area).

      That’s just my thoughts :).

Can Rusty pick up the frequency of a dog whistle? Since he shouldn’t be lead by the nose … And there’s a nice, big metal crane to eat, and if eating it happens to drop a cube out of the bag, roll for damage.
