“Hello, my name is Arthur, and this is my distraction. Ahem. The itsy-bitsy spider went up the water spout; down came the rain and washed the spider out…”
smart enought to follow order, stupid enough never to question them, enthusiaste about everything, doesn’t ask for salary…
big enough to be impressive but not to much as to make the grinner small in comparison…
a perfect henchman.
A ‘pick up group’ is a group formed for temporary reasons when your regular group is unavailable. You advertise you want a PUG when you aren’t looking to try to form any long term attachments or go on a long series of raids or quests, just ‘this one dungeon or mission’.
She seemed to be doing so well up to now. But it looks like she never learned to be suspicious if things are going too well, especially if you know the enemy has a plan and you’re improvising.

Roxy’s new followers don’t seem too happy about this development.
Of course not. She was fascinating.
Unfortunately, more grieved than angered. not quite promising for a civil war.
They would actually be more pissed off if he drooled on their radio than with him grabbing the bard…
Now they’ll never get to see The Wonderful Wizard of Oz…
anoncing that one is a distraction…
I will try this next time.
Oh, it’s been done.
“Hello, my name is Arthur, and this is my distraction. Ahem. The itsy-bitsy spider went up the water spout; down came the rain and washed the spider out…”

And my favorite variant… Kryten in the Red Dwarf episode ‘The Inquisitor’ —
“Excuse me, could I just distract you for a brief moment?”
Maybe the pug is smarter than we thought. He certainly seems to have a grip on the situation.

Huh. Looks like Roxy got carried away. All that fame went right to her…. head.
Slobber, you dog, you! Teach me how to pick up hot elven chicks! Pretty please!?
You use oven mitts, of course. And a good grip.
And don’t let them peck or claw you.
Really? In over four years, no one made that pun?
Pug in metal armor and Rusty near by hmm…
Pug in ALREADY RUSTED metal armor because all the slobbering he does.
Looks shiny enough to be fresh for Rusty to me!
rust monsters eat rusted metal. their power allow them to convert any metal into something edible for them
Roxy got facepalmed.
“… and your little bug too!”

That grip can’t possibly be good for her neck.
