it was, this is why she isn’t drinking the potion of “healing” and is reaching into her bag.
        she realized its an impostor

The genuine Stabs knows that the Bazooka is lightweight.

So, this is one of the circus-people in disguise,
and the potion isn’t healing – so Presty stashed it…

You gotta admit that the attitude is fine — it’s just the facts that are a problem.

The irony is I could TOTALLY see Stabs saying that, sarcastically, because she doesn’t like the bazooka and because she wants to punish Presti more by making her go back for it later when the place is in ruins.

How about pretending she did away with it, so that she could have a bazooka?

          That’s another possibility.

These derro have excellent spies. And acting ability.

Fortunately, Presti knows it too. and knows better than to let on that she knows.

Which is why the last shot has Presti reaching into her pouch, for yet another weird yet useful item she’s going to attack/disable “Stabs” with.

Hmm. Is that the wisest thing? “Stabs” thinks Presti is fooled. Garnering intelligence might be better.

Of course, after all those traps, Presti may just want to get back at ’em.

You know, the thing ‘Stabs’ says about them not turning on the traps is actually applicable to ‘Stabs’ herself.

Nah, she’s just stowing the potion in her bag. I wonder how long before it turns up again.

The potion is a disabling poison, if she doesn’t drink it and get disabled the jig is up, if she fakes being disabled she has to guess WHICH disability to fake.

Besides, she already made the “trick the bad guys” play, it didn’t work.

Or Presti might have just made her saving throw…”Just lucky, I guess…”

The circus did not get a memo on Stabs’ feet.

She is smiling, Stabs doesn’t smile…

There is another possibility as well. Given what was noted, it doesn’t seem likely that it is actually Stabs, but I thought of another reason why Presti wouldn’t drink the potion even if it was a healing potion – her being at low hp is why they turned the traps off in the first place. If she healed, well, they could turn them back on again and watch the show…

In fact “Stabs” was being out of character there (compared to the circonstances)
nice, calm, telling the circus are pro, and giving apotion she doesnot have…

Or just giving a potion to Presti, she’s not very fond of her…

It almost certainly isn’t really stabs, but Presti might hesitate to attack just in case she’s only 90% certain, since Stabs is already massively cheesed at her, and she mightn’t want to take a chance on antagonizing her further.

Someone made their craft (alchemy) check on short notice.

And someone certainly didn’t have the spot check they should’ve.

Not seeing the hair on Stab’s feet. Pretty sure Presti noticed that too.

I’m ashamed to say i probably would have realised the ruse only after drinking the potion. 🙁
