I stand corrected. It’s looking like the pug is with the gnolls after all.

Roxy has all sorts of skills.

And Mountain Dew is just as much a keep awake aid for college students as coffee. At least for male college students. 🙂

      Jolt’s even better.

I knew a guy in college, normally hyper, who washed down some No-Doze with Jolt. His roommates were threatening to tie him to his bed soon after.

Depends on your sensitivity to caffeine. I had a lovely night’s rest and a very nice partner…

To be sure, Roxy knows the most about gnolls — I wonder whether they have enough clues that Roxy’s in danger.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Roxy turned out to be the one they’re after.

Grinner was hired to get them. He thought revenge was gravy. His contract calls for Presti — though he may regard Roxy as a freebie.

Maybe invite brother Robespierre along for the fun.

And maybe later Maddy can persuade the kracken to assist in some illithid justice. (ok, got this vision of King Friday facing down Don Polpo, Tentacles vs. Tentacallis (‘Youse in the wrong neighborhood, suckers”))

I don’t think maddie has watched PBS recently, she can’t know where to find the cracken otherwise.

‘cept Stabs. Never in danger, that one.

    Poor Madeline.

When she’s hanging out with Mimic’s crowd, she doesn’t really come across as DUMB, just endearingly singleminded. Among the brainier companions, though, she really is a step behind…

Hopefully once the action starts, she’ll be back in her element and saving the day!

Plans are always her weak point.

Not necessarily. She always has a plan, it’s just always the same one: Find Evil – Smash Evil, repeat as necessary. Up until recently, it seems to have worked quite well for her.

Looks like Roxy made level six, and took Leadership. ^_^

Maddie’s great…as the tank she is.

She also has a high Charisma score as a Bard, so when she speaks, people listen.

Maddie is great. Period. If I have to pick one to be on my side, it’s her: remember, the others weren’t even going to help until she “convinced” them. Leadership by smashing heads against a table and yanking ears is still leadership.

There are different skills needed for Leaders. Maddie has some and Roxy has some, and between them, adventure will be had.

The drool at the edges of the brochure.

Nothing like a big top at the bottom of a volcano. When are killer clowns ever gonna be in the monster manuel?

Manuel gets such a bad rap all the time. He’s not a monster!

This should be interesting. Paladin’s high CHA and bard’s high CHA, The baddies will never know what hit them.

And judging from her bluff checks in the Illithid mob hideout (not to mention fast-talking a hungover Princess), charisma isn’t Presti’s dump stat either. This team could probably just walk in, start giving orders, and be in charge of the Evil Circus before the carnies figure out what’s going on.

That would require Madeline to lie, though…I bet Deceptive Maddie is even tinier than Evil Maddie.

I’m curious to see what the lost and found objects will turn out to be. I’ll be surprised if one of them isn’t a gardening tool of some sort…

Soon to be a Vorpal Gardening Tool.

(Can you believe spell-check doesn’t recognize “”Vorpal” as a word?! What kind of crappy dictionary are they using?!)

Huh, it seems this fantasy world has adopted the Philips standard for screws in their armor fastenings.

Philips standard? It looks like a flathead (slotted) screwdriver to me in the last panel, not a Phillips (cruciform).

        Me is right.

(As unlikely as it might seem, the sentence above is actually grammatically correct.)

As much as I like Rusty, Mimic and Cube, I would love to see these chicks get their own spin-off comic.

I like how Rusty, Mimic and Cube are helping/rescuing the damsels in distress, but said damsels all kick the most butt! 🙂

This *is* their comic. Rusty, Mimic, and Cube are the supporting characters (notwithstanding the title).
