It's not in a clown's nature to successfully ambush. Yet oddly enough, they're good at Tokyo drifts.

Ah, poor Roxy. Don’t you know that Maddie was there?

(Love the callback to when he told her.)

One wonders if the fate of the universe will be at stake here. Maddie seems to attract those.

          Why not?

I was developing a thought — namely that Maddie having been present at one such time, might be present at her– third, this time.

That’s the problem with Paladins – they always pull major story aggro (she said from bitter experience)

The Power of Song! Wow. Roxy actually sounds more naive than Maddie at the moment.
They were prepared for Prestie, they’re probably prepared for Roxy.

Roxy can’t help it. Just look at those eyes in Panel 6; the girl is in the grip of forces beyond her coltrol. She HAS to believe in the Power of Song, or the narrative universe would collapse. Just as much as Maddie has to believe in Good and Right, and Rusty has to believe in Eat All The (Ferrous) Things.

        Eat All the (Metal) Things.

She didn’t do that bad against Grinner.

I suspect you’re thinking of “Goodnight” Cleave-hand, not the Grinner. She didn’t actually fight the latter – just stalled him until her brother showed up…

No, I’m thinking of Grinner. The whole situation was Grinner’s set up, and she used the music to undermine it in crucial places.

Which is exactly why he should be ready for it this time. Presti was pretty damn effective her first jaunt too, and she’s having a hard time this time.

Aw, go ahead with the rap battle. Maddie has the perfect (pitch? tuning?) fork for those clowns if they rap like a posse group.

Bad vibes again. They want Rusty alive. So when is the heavy metal god of Discordia gonna amp up for another show?

Well, so far we’ve seen that Mimic is the master of rap, and Cube is the guitar hero. Are we going to find that Rusty has undiscovered musical talent?

And all other sorts of metal, true. So perhaps he’ll be the next big star, with his regular companions out of the way.

Gotta love those big green eyes.

Also in a very weird observation anyone else think the shine in Maddie’s hair in panel 4 looks like an evil smile.

No, no, no, it’s Zentradi that are helpless before the power of song. Oh, and Protodevlin…
Ah, what the hell – give it a shot, it might work…

Re: ALT-text. You pack 15 physical comedy performance artists into a two-seater, and you’ll bloody well GET good at Tokyo Drift.
