Madeline is more happy than the alternative, because she’s going to do her duty.

My bet is on Boots of Striding and Springing.

Nah, this is obviously what she meant by “getting her wings;” now she has almost-flight.

Maddie’s plan is actually beats Roxy’s. If they stayed there, the guards would spot them once they stopped laughing.

How true. “He who hesitates is lost.”

She really did want to just leap in there.

No, Maddie! Look before you leap! :O

Roxy didn’t look, either. She didn’t consider how to get inside before she got the signal to do so.

And now we discover where Maddie invested her 1 skill point per level. Go go int penalty!

Well, it certainly wasn’t Sense Motive.

Launching into an orbital stomp in a cave? well, if it’s the only way over the wall…

Would you bother with air defense if you were underground?

I just got flashbacks to Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, Prototype, Infamous and Saint’s Row IV.

Looks like Madeline has a plan, well at least as much as she plans things.

Quick, who has that sound effect file of the “sproing” from THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN to upload while we watch the last panel in slo-mo…?

Technically a pitchfork is a “Quadrent”

Quadradent, actually – the literal translation is ‘Four Teeth’.

(Yeah, I got stuck with lots of useless knowledge in parochial school… the trident was the weapon used by a retiarius in the arena, but was more commonly barbed, and used for catching fish. The quadradent was smooth, and used as a hay fork, not used in combat – the head is heavier, and curved to aid in pitching. How’s that for useless information? 😛 )

Grump, old bean, there’s also the spading fork — the tines are flat rectangles in cross-section, with far less curvature than the tines of a quadradent, and nowhere near as sharp. Used for loosening soil, grubbing out potatoes, usw. I could see using one to administer blunt force trauma, but not anything resembling puncture wounds.

A sharpened spading fork makes an excellent zombie catcher… but it could really do with a slightly longer handle, something more in a rake length.

If your plan has less than 3 steps, it’s a simple plan.
If it has more than 10 steps, it’s not a real plan, you’re just buying time

Clearly you’ve never assembled furniture, as I have yet to find any piece of IKEA furniture with less than 10 steps.

Those aren’t plans, those are carefully planned excuses to put off putting the damned thing together indefinitely.

I always thought Madeline some how took levels of Final Fantasy Dragonslayer for the leaps and bounds she does…

And is it just me or does it look like Roxy is mildly interested in where Maddie’s hand might //end// up?
