And that ladies and gentlemen is what we call upgrading.

    Ha !
Can’t wait to see if the surprise from this “badger”
makes him drop some of his vials 🙂

Also, it seems they made a bulk-order for dispelling-wands.

Presti is one of their four targets. Be prepared! Isn’t that crazy?

Being ready to dispell magic when going up against a wizard is sane prepared, actually, I would say.

I approve MK-II Badger Gun, so named because it doesn’t launch badgers.

Also, based on the size of that gun, her Bag of Holding has got to be a type IV; Presti came prepared (wizard joke intended)

Somebody paid close attention to the item descriptions on the -bag of tricks-.

      Also, technically, it’s no longer a Badger-Blaster; it’s a Bazookceros.

Maybe the Rhino-Plasterer, or maybe just Rhino Blasty? 🙂

A minor point: It’s *sleight* of hand, not *slight* of hand.

Besides that, great comic as usual.

True. But I was watching DOOM last night and noticed how the BFG has been renamed the Bio Force Gun so I just went along with that.

I like this weapon. The projectile has lots of mass so it can crush almost anything, but it also has two pointy bits to gore enemies that are soft and squishy. Ingenious upgrade and redesign.

    Time for the Mk. III.

It launches a rhinoceros being ridden into battle by an entire howdah-full of Honey Badgers. (AKA, Dire Badgers, AKA the meanest animals known to exist.)

I suddenly got flashbacks to the Ratchet and Clank series- the ultimate weapon of each game being some variation of the ‘RYNO’ (Rip Ya a New One). Can’t imagine why.

Also, just got the tip- ‘go for the jugular’. He didn’t mean the throat, he meant the ‘juggler’.

‘Magic words’: Stabs with the wand, needs to remember ‘slough’?

    Ok, This. Is. Awesome!

I also love the art, it’s gorgeous and always improving.

Our duo is still not quite thinking outside of their usual boxes, although Presti’s made a fascinating variation. Wanna bet that this guy somehow deflects the rhino? I don’t think he’d last against Stabs, if they think more.

Because, really, if it’s a gun that size, it’s GOT to be a super combo.

    Totally worth the encumbrance penalties.

Doesn’t a bag of holding negate that.

      • Nerva
        February 14, 2014, 6:01 pm | # | Reply

Not when you remove the item from the bag and wield it.

That thing’s have gotta an encumbrance penalty all on its own for anyone with less than 16 strength. It’s at least two feet longer than Presti is tall, and it’s loaded with a live rhino for Pelor’s sake!

        • Simon
          February 15, 2014, 6:06 am | # | Reply

Eh, she’s clever… she’s probably incorporated some items to compensate for that.

Mind you, the cost of this weapon must be substantial already. Four decanters of endless water, at 9000gp each. A top-grade bag of tricks, 6300gp. Sovereign glue, at 2400gp per ounce – and she’d need quite a few ounces for this one.

You’ve got a point. Kinda makes you wonder just how much Presti gets paid.

I mean, hell, for the price of this one weapon, you could just about buy a small fortress.

I’m pretty sure rhino-based weaponry was banned shortly after badger-based weaponry was banned… except in Baldur’s Gate.
