Yay, a Xorn! One of my favourite monsters!
Xorn? So it’s a monster that turns out to be a previously appearing villain who shoots himself up on drugs and kills a bunch of people via methods that he would have been vehemently against before?
A xorn! It must still be trying to pronounce its name.
Monsters acting weird. Good grief that’s a broad scope.
“Frog codpiece eat.”
Wait. What does a frog need with a codpiece?
Ew. And a terror flavored codpiece at that.
Oh, and Rusty has learned not to eat metal off of allies, yes? Like Roxy’s underwire bra.
Even a rust monster of limited vocabulary can learn!
perhaps she’s looking for the products of an ill-designed Wandering Monster table. Those can be hard on the ecology.
Or maybe the DM is just consulting the wrong table. I heard a story about that causing an encounter with a bear in the middle of a sprawling metropolis.
Yeah, it was an unbearable slip-up.

OK, Kool! Xorn steals a gag from bugs bunny, the ‘wrong turn at albqure (spelling) where he winds up in desert fighting with Yosemite Sam IIRC. Monsters acting wierd; well yeah: Bullywugs out in winter, with cod-pieces also wearing metal armor. The Paladin with a shovel (spade?) we will put down to personal preference. Wonder who is the villian behind this levels plot?

Also – yay for Xorns!! Though this level has so much old school D&D that I’m worried the villain is going to turn out to be a little old bald man with a long white beard and red robes. And his henchmen will be a gang of annoying teenagers
And one annoying 9yo with a pet unicorn. Can’t forget that. (As much as you might want to.)
I gotta ask, what are you guys referencing?
In the 80’s there was a Saturday Morning Cartoon called Dungeons & Dragons. one of the characters was a 9 yr old barbarian (redundant anyone?) and he had a pet unicorn.

I loved that show as a kid.
Panel four is great. The way Rusty raises his head to Madeline’s hand reminds me of a cat.
I am more fond of Weird Al Yankovic than Neil Young. And _much_ more fond of Al’s Albuquerque.
Totally want a big version of panel four. Rusty is so cute!
Love panel 2, and love the xorn, especially his monologue (pre-translation).
