Bwa ha ha! Maddie wasn’t trying to kill Mimic. She was trying to swat the bees off of him! Should have seen it coming.

      Invisible bees, apparently.

You also note that Mimic was too frazzled to disguise himself as a piece of simple, unassuming furniture — he had to hide in one.

No-one would think to look for a Mimic INSIDE another piece of furniture! They’d just bang the side and when it didn’t react, move on!

      It’s genius, really.

I do love the subtlety of that joke. Something for long-term readers?

I agree, Mimic being inside the wardrobe, not being the wardrobe, was one of the funniest moments yet!

I know the vampster is mean and sadistic, and she lies about bees…but she’s actually quite adorable in panel 1.

Whoah. Mimic just came out of the closet.
    Did. Not. See. That. Coming.

      That’s not a closet, that’s a wardrobe.

(Big difference. Closets are bona-fide rooms which means you have to pay taxes on them if you are in a country where they tax houses by number of rooms.)

Okay, I was waaaay too slow on that one. Thanks for clearing that up. I should’ve remembered that scene from Sengoku Collection.

Mimic is upping his game. Now he can disguise as a fake container inside a REAL container!
