A very sweet smile Mr. Kraken has. Sure, a magic trolley can fit through arrow slits in a castle.

It can fit through the whole castle if you throw it hard enough

I can just see Madeline arranging interviews and the like for all the already affected monsters.

two or three panels back. Henrietta was one of the puppets attacking the group.

Please have Mimic land in a closet full of red sweaters…. or a fishtank…

I don’t think that trolley is actually magic.

So young and so cynical. It’s tragic.

It’s about as magical as you’d expect. Pretty hilarious though.

Of course it has powers, they were bestowed by a beast most pelagic.

Back when I was in college in Pittsburgh I would often take a shortcut through the parking lot of the local PBS station, where Mr. Rogers Neighborhood was filmed back in the day. Two or three times I ran into Mr. McFeeley in full costume. I assume that he was on the way to promote their fundraising or something, because Fred Rogers was already deceased at that point. Possibly because I was in college and running on three hours sleep, I’d always have a surreal moment of “WTF? Am I hallucinating?!”

Also, the station had an awesome sculpture of a tyrannosaurus dressed as Mr. Rogers outside. Somehow, it always seemed RIGHT that that thing should exist, though, and I never gave it a second though.

You know, I just realised what this post was actually about. Look at that happy smile on the kraken, the neat jumper and done up shirt, the magical trolley.

HOLY **** ****S. THAT KRAKEN IS MR ROGERS!

Yup. Go back and look at the puppets again, and see if you recognize some.

And for those wondering, here is the t-rex sculpture in all its glory. Not quite as bizarre as our tentacled friend in the comic, but you can never have too many images of deadly predators dressed up as childhood heroes.

    That’s a pretty cute Kraken.. what’s its name? Polly-wanna? 😛

Also gotta say good work again on the art – really enjoying the comic. I’m particularly envious with the texture of the drawbridge on the first panel – whenever I try to draw backgrounds they never turn out that good. 🙂

Is it just me or does Mr. Rogers the Kraken seem to have a bigger beak in this comic than in the other ones?

I don’t care if it has hopes and reams, Evil is as Evil does, and not releasing your grappel during your heart rending confession is pretty Evil.
So is chucking someone through a wall.

I can’t help but feel that Fred Rogers would be amused and flattered by this.
