LOL, a Bullywug with metal armor! Must make swimming a challange.(spelling) Love the Cannon ball, or is it bowling ball, shooting baby carraige. Getting good, cannot wait for next strip 🙂

This always happens when PCs make a plan, doesn’t it? Seems like there’s always an overlooked element of the plan that leads to hilarous comedic damage to one of the PCs. Famous last words: “Uh, I guess we should have realized this might happen.”

There goes my theory. I was sure this arc would be about Rusty and Cube making their way back to Mimic.

The expression on Rusty’s face in that first panel… just too adorable…

I agree – how the heck does a rust monster have such high charisma? I’m going to have difficulty killing them now if I picture Rusty each time I run into one. 🙁

And well you should! Of all the monsters in the manual, rust monsters are almost the only ones that really don’t mean -you- any harm. They love you! You are wearing chocolate armor and wielding steaks!

Incidentally, I don’t think it’s his facial expression – Rusty really only has about four facial expressions. But the artist really captures these really dynamic action poses that look bouncy and goofy (partly because of the odd way a rust monster’s body is put together.)

Is it a homage to Lone wolf and Cub? It has samurai, a baby, and a baby carriage with gun.

I love how much the bullywug in the second panel looks like Kermit the Frog
