I’m just picturing a future where Cube so impresses the Don that he gets a job as the Goodflaya’s new hitcube.

That is a fabulous, fabulous secondary skill/ specialization for cube to have. Yes. Yes it is.

I was killed in a 3.5 campaign by a gelatinous cube falling on me. According to the MM, they weigh 15,000 pounds, quite painful.

How about an one-liner? “Time to play Tetris “?

That’s actually not that much for a ten foot cube; that much water would weigh over three times as much. I’d still say it was soft enough not to do all that much damage, though.

Loving poor T’ony’s expression in the last panel. His tentacles seem to have just gone limp as his brain processes the thought of “ohmygodthere’sagiantCUBEhangingaboveme!” Obviously this is a very large thought for even a mind flayer brain to process.

To be perfectly fair though, seeing a giant gelatinous cube suspended in mid air would beg all sorts of questions. After the horror of being squished by several thousand pounds of acidic cube wore off; I would like to think, were I one of the mindflayers, I would be pondering “important” questions like: How did the cube get up there? How did he remain so stealthy as to get the drop on my genius level intellect? How does he manage to make quadrilateral symmetry look so cool? Why didn’t I take any of the psionic feats that allow me to run up walls?

All Cube needs now is a headband that says “NIN (guy holding a sword) JA” and the effect would be complete.

+1 for the Parker Louis reference.

Actually, make that +2; I almost missed it, and that made it all the more excellent when I noticed.
