Once again, Cube gets it done. Who else would bring a door to a wand fight and expect to win?

Interestingly enough if you are using the D&D 3rd or 4th edition rules just about anyone could expect to do so. The cover rules are rather interesting especially as they regard “line of effect.” Of course knowing this comic cube (through shear badassry) will block shots with the doors via kung-fu or whatever passes for that amongst the cube peoples.

Actually it’s more than likely that by 3.5 or 4e rules, those doors count as tower shields. Meaning their bonuses not only don’t stack, they don’t offer much more than partial cover at best.

Cube’s dual-wielding doors! What’s the to-hit penalty for that? Can he have an off hand if he doesn’t have any hands? That is both awesome and confusing! 🙂

Hmm. So that would mean he’s just invented a new fighting style… Kung Shui?

lets see… when my character was forced to use a stone table as a weapon… it was basically classed a club…

but considering the door’s looks… I guess it wasn’t time for them to tell the truth for rusty’s question.

Sheesh…someone has to tell those morons that you do NOT shoot missile weapons near explosives…especially magical ones {Former USAF 461×0). The cube is ambi-dextrous; the doors would be club like weapons ‘C’ bludegoning damage using SPI’s Dragonquest rules. Not sure what a cubes strength is so do not know if he get adds to damage. He should get minius’ to hit for using an improvised & clumbsy’ weapon! Now it gets good! 🙂

Methinks Cube isn’t dual-wielding weapons… he’s got two magical shields for cover!

Personally, my bet is that he throws the doors like giant shuriken. I like shuriken.

Why has neither the elevator nor the doors been digested by either one of them yet?

Also, normally I would have expected a GC and RM to do rather poorly against a group armed extensively with wands and similar items… THIS Gelatinous Cube, on the other pseudopod..

After having read through this comic several times over the past few years… I only just now realized that this might be a Ten Commandments reference. (The doors on either side kind of look like Moses carrying the tablets.)

I’ve not seen any of the Planet of the Apes movies, though, so maybe I’m way off.

(EDIT: This was in response to Keith above me. Not sure if that worked correctly.)
