Green door over there is surprisingly quiet. Maybe he’s too giddy.

    …That certainly is Rusty’s question.

To be fair, it’s really more of a statement. Rusty’s being polite. But one way or another, those hinges are going into a sandwich of sometime.

I love that third panel! The angle and the coloring just make it look so fiendish!

Where’s Mimic? He’d know how to fix this!

*Form of Annoying Riddle Door* M-m-m-m-imic
“Are YOU the door? Or am I?”

    *Insert existential crisis here*
    *EXPLOSIONS*

Rusty’s solution works too. Lets see if the doors are smarter than yon Blackguard…

I love the way the doors take the classic Knights and Knaves logic puzzle and ”actually make it fiendish”.

Then a character like Rusty has the logical reaction.

We all knew that was coming with rusty in the lead the second those doors opened their mouthes

They probably both open into the same room anyway; it’s just a way to slow down adventurers with an intelligence score of more than 3.

I think a human could pull that off, too. Act like a raving lunatic, hold up and axe, drool, and slowly approach the doors, laughing madly…. “I just looove the taste of door hinges!”

Or maybe they won’t believe him, and just end up dinner.

“Eat Hinges?” is the correct question. I also would have accepted: “What happens to a door when an axe chops it to splinters?” “Do you enjoy being set on fire?” & “How many teeth do I have to remove with these pliers to get you to open?”

actually, it has to start with “May I”. that way, if it’s at the point in time where they have to lie…

        the answer would be ‘yes’.

Not necessarily, one lies only 37% of the time so there’s a chance it may tell the truth

I need to remember that question next time a GM poses this puzzle. Thanks for the idea!

The problem with someone saying “One of us always tells the truth and the other one always lies”: how do you know that’s true?

Besides the obvious reference, this made me think of the rules to Fizzbin.
