Like the consquidliere’s outfit. Um, maybe badger-gun time? And what was the purpose of going into their territory in the first place again?

… to stop them sending more agents after Presti.

Right… And since when was that ever a good idea?

It was to figure out why the Tentacallis are hoarding magical items.

Well, that’s Presti’s mission, but I don’t think that’s why the others are there.

That is the toughest-looking Mind Flayer I’ve ever seen.

Dude will flay you UP, mang.

I ‘m not ordinarily a sucker for the Scar Across An Eye, but the Made Illithid just over the Consquidliere’s shoulder looks more impressive to me.

I like how Don Polpo doesn’t let his dinner be interrupted while it is being interrupted. That’s just awesome.

Mimic may need some support after this adventure. I think I just watched all his confidence run away screaming when Presti wilted.

I wonder if that bottle is a nice Chianti. I don’t see any fava beans though…

      Well, it’s a brain, not a liver…

Did you see the end of Hannibal? (That was the worst Valentine’s Day date ever…)

Inappropriate encounter. Not just level-inappropriate, it’s also very unpolite.

About now, Presti should be saying: “Sorry Don Polpo, did you say you wanted more Chianti? I though you said Yuan-ti?”

That’s one of the best one-liners I’ve ever heard (read).

So the Don is a mind Flayer…….Not impressed…these guys are supposed to have genius level intel. Even Al capone would have had a better set up. They must eat brains, because they are hopeing that it will improve their Intell stat. Still numbers (quanity) has an edge over quality with these odds. Now where is Rusty and Cube? I think we need the princess and/or the Bard to show up and help our heros!

I don’t think these are real mindflayers. I mean, I’m totally metagaming here, but that many mindflayers against a party of level 4s? That’s been split up? No way could they make it out of that alive.

To be fair, though, what was the party even thinking accepting this job? A real mindflayer could take the whole party down himself.

Then again we have absolutely no info on the mage’s lvl/equips/scrolls, or the flayers might give them an ultimatum, or maybe there will be a chase with Benny hill song on the background

I truly believe the single most disturbing image in the entire strip is the mind flayer in a cocktail dress. So, so wrong…

I’ve reread this comic several times and this is the first time I’ve noticed that.

Thank you, sir, for scarring me brains. *shudder*

The most disturbing part is the female “sexy” Mind Flaer/Illithid in a dress. That thing’s gonna haunt my nightmares.

Is it just me, or is Don Polpo one of the cutest mindflayers I’ve ever seen!

What’s cool about this? The fact that there is zero shock on the Mind Flayers. Just calm menace.

For future reference, this is when you cast fireball, killing the don and a significant portion of his men and scoring a wad of XP. Then you loot all their wands and gank everything between you and your destination.
