Whoa. Nice control if she didn’t shear off his face hitting him with the edge like that.

Shhhhh, she’s *focused*! Never disturb the intense concentration of the Garden Paladin!

She’s actually a gnome with gigantism.

There are two benefits to using a highly ineffective weapon (like a hoe) that somehow never get ported over to computer RPGs, where Ludicrous Swords are always better than Sensible Swords.

      1. If you ever DO switch over to a serious weapon, you are going to tear people apart.

      2. Sometimes the crummy weapon has hidden depths. I love the nigh-impossible staff move we see here in Panel 3.

Also – if you’re in a tabletop RPG, and your enemy is fighting you with his/her eyes closed, as Madeline is here, RUN. Don’t wait for the rest of the party – they’re already dead. Save yourself!

I’d really, really like to know how much time each day Plaidbeard puts into dying his beard like that. I mean, that’s like several hours worth of dying, separating, and spraying just for facial hair that resembles an argyle sock.

vidkid2k, we were told it is a belt of gender change earlier on.
I bet he is wearing it right now.
I don’t understand why he is talking about the belt though, as far as he knows she is there to rescue her chest (heh) whom he stole (what with being a land pirate and all).

    Squeamish, he probably used magic.

Squeamish, don’t be ridiculous. A plaid beard only has to be died once– just a few streaks of color. Then you weave the streaks together.

I got hit in the head with a hoe once, blade first like that. There… was a LOT of blood.

Following for some time. Enjoying it very much. Just noticed that the title/comment can only be seen when my mouse is over the comic. Now I’m thinking what jokes did I miss. Would it be too much to ask if you made the title readily seen, either at the top or the bottom?

They aren’t “titles”, they’re Alt-Text. They’re intended as a reward for devoted fans; the first time you notice them, you’re supposed to enjoy your little “a-ha!” moment, and then go re-read the entire archive to see what else you’ve missed.

Also, it’s interesting to note that this is apparently an Eberron campaign, more or less. I mean, non-evil monsters as PCs, technology, and now Action Points.
