I know what you're thinking, and no, Mimic doesn't actually enjoy putting his, or any one else's, foot in his mouth.

Mimic, Mimic, it is “Never saw an elf that *TALL*” .. oh you made it even worse in the next panel.

    Good luck bard…

Tremorsense is probably more reliable on size than particular dimensions

Actually it’s *weight* (and contact area dimensions) — which is an even less appropriate topic to broach, especially when addressing a presumably formidable, potentially grudge-bearing, bodyguard elf. If she was wearing high heels, the increase in force and tremors might have been a way out for Mr. Boxford, but unluckily for him, she doesn’t. Then again, luckily for him, she doesn’t. The fact remains that he put her foot in his mouth.

Elves are pretty consistent in density.

I don’t know what you mean by ‘consistent in density’. Bones, muscles and fat all have significantly different densities, so much so that a large, poorly trained elf (if such exists) might still have a lower mass than a very fit, smaller elf due to the substantially lower density of fat compared to muscle. As a result, size doesn’t work well as an approximation to an elf’s visibility to Mr. Boxford’s tactile senses; mass (weight) and speed do. The plasticity of footwear and ground material also plays an important role, so if the warrior elf moved around on, say, a pogo-stick, she’d be almost invisible to Mr. Boxford’s tremorsense. Come to think of it, I’ve never seen a D&D party use pogo-sticks to fool enemies with tremorsense…

Looks like she’s decided Mimic would look better as a cigar box than a treasure chest…
That should make it easier for both travelling and infiltrating…as long as none of their enemies smoke.

Elf butts on his head, sure, but feet in his mouth? That would be just nasty.

Mimic knows what he likes and what he doesn’t like. I respect it.

I love how absolutely adorable Alyssa looks in panel 3. And the flower in Dahlia’s hair is just the *perfect* accessory, high fashion in bodyguard circles, I’m sure.

Alyssa always looks adorable. She’s just the perfect passive-aggressive cutie-pie <3

        Lead Acetate is about right

Sweeter than sugar, but you’d be deader than flares, disco and Boxford’s chances of dating Dahlia in the next five minutes come the morning

Beginning to think Mimic has a fetish for dames beating him up. Not sure why, can’t quite put my foot on it…

You know these elves are uncool people because not a single one of them has recognized famous drummer/hero Gelly-C.

I like Dahlia already. Not because she’s beating up Mimic necessarily, but as a wise man once said, I love a woman who could kick my ass.

The question isn’t whether or not she could, it’s whether or not she *will*. Makes a big difference.
