On one hand, Dorilys might hear the noise; on the other, she has more time to catch up the longer you take.

Since it looks like both Presti and Dorilys are right about targets.

Awww… He’s shy aboutt being seen doing delicate work.

    Also, he’s left-handed.

He’s not left-handed in usual sense. His right hand is stronger. His left hand has better dexterity. So, right hand for punching, left for picking.

With the advantage that any bruising will not affect his skill

Got a reputation to maintain, certainly.

To keep his enemies guessing, if nothing else.

For a strongman, he is somewhat picky 🙂

Let’s see if he’s locky, too. And whether it’s good lock or bad lock.

“This is the Lock Picking Barbarian, and what I have for you today is a punch to the face. My secrets must remain my own.”

Picking a lock is quite easy. You just point at it and say, in a loud voice, “That’s the one I want!”

“My Barbarian punches the door open!”
“Alright you attempt to punch the d-”
    “Wait no, I have lockpicks!”
    “That’s based on DEX, and-”
“My character brought them, of course he wants to try them out. So I should get extra xp for staying in character.”
    “…no”

Punching that door in any way that matters would be akin to ringing a gong. He pretends to be dumb (I still think he was actually saying “grunt” rather than grunting), but may be quite clever behind the facade.

Remember: don’t fight your picks – pick your fights.

Imagine how embarrassed he’ll be when he opens the lock and finds a bunch of people sitting in the room, drinking tea, monocles unpopped.

So Blood Bath is the big, dumb strongman whenever he thinks anyone can see him, but is highly competent in
    – stealth: Those guards didn’t see a “barbarian” coming until impact
    – climbing: He had to get above them somehow
    – lockpicking: I’m presuming that he’ll be through the vault door pretty quickly.

He also, I’m realizing, was quite possibly about to lose a fight against Whitey. its’ almost as if his build isn’t suited for straight up combat against a dedicated fighter.

Is this guy a pure rogue pretending to be a barbarian? And do the other Derro have any idea?

When you multiclass Barbarian and Rogue

,,,, but mostly Barbarian. He’s not using a tensioner.

He is intimidating the lock into being tense.

I like how his mustache droops when he realizes he pounded all the guards into paste, like – “Over already? Awwww.”

I’ve seen way too much Lock Picking Lawyer for my own good, so now I’m irritated whenever I see one-handed lockpicking in media. How are you tensioning it!?

He doesn’t need to, he just inserted the pick and broke the lock from the inside with force
