I find the look of innocence on the Viscount’s face as he fatally poisons the shroom-guards oddly hilarious.

‘Hmm? Sorry, I was a bit distracted slaughtering your allies, what were you saying?’

Why on earth would anyone feel guilty about fungicide?

I could not think of a more appropriate weapon of mass destruction for the Viscount than a flacon! Well played! Also sorry for Grawlf- a bit!

“I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs …”

I have heard that before, but the speaker of those words did not have the same suave, evil brilliance as the Viscount.

Great respect to you for knowing and using the word “flacon”. I learned something new, I would have used “atomizer” and that wasn’t the right word for the situation.

The Viscount is two steps ahead of his enemies and three steps ahead of his minions.

Technically it’s both. The decorative bottle itself could be described as a flacon, but the apparatus atop it that is spraying the fungicide in a fine mist is most definitely an atomizer.

This is why you don’t waste time monologuing before attacking.

Ideally, all gloating over defeated opponents should take place through a speak with dead spell.

At least, Viscount had to provoke it.

Not necessarily. With some training, you can fit the gloat between the time you decapitate them and the time their brain stops working.

        That’s not a monologue. It’s a quip.

Grawlf might’ve only been PROPERLY evil for a little while, but he didn’t seem too far from it even before he became fungoid.

Also, he seems to be genuinely racist against Humans and for that I laugh at his current misfortune.

The Mario brothers fight turtles. They *protect* mushroom people.

      Mostly.

i dont think protect applies to the mario bros. referring to the little bit of info in the original booklet for the first mario brother game, that mentions bowser’s magic turned all the residents of the mushroom kingdom into the blocks that are on each level…. the same bricks that get hit for items, coins, or to clear a path or just for a high score

by that standard, mario and luigi caused more harm than one lonely koopa king named bowser who was just trying to get a date.

So… every-time they hit a block and get coins they’re shaking down unfortunate Mushroom Kingdom citizens? Those hoodlums!

as far as i know goombas are not turtles. im just assuming when he said mario bros fought turtles, he was referring to bowser specifically (although thats more like a dragon than a turtle) i mean theres a lot of koopa variants. koopa troopers, magikoopa, flying koopa. lakitu, hammer bros. but you also have pirahna plants, cheep cheeps (the fish) bloopers (squid) boos, and so many other enemies in the entire mario brothers game set from first to most recent.

possibly. i mean bowser has the shell of a turtle (albiet a spikey one) and the horns, fangs and fire breath of a dragon (not to mention incredible toughness and strength)

Turtles can have horns on their own: https://twilightbeasts.org/2016/10/06/turtle-power/#caption-attachment-1933.

The only really dragonlike things about Bowser are his ability to breathe fire (which he doesn’t even do in every game he appears in) and his penchant for kidnapping princesses. He’s much more turtle than dragon.

Goombas are resident of the Mushroom Kingdom who joined with the Koopa Kingdom during the invasion. Toads are those who remained loyal to princess Peach.

I do so enjoy the sheer competency of the Viscount as Villain. I hope he never misplaces it.
