Oh hey, it’s whitey. Didn’t expect to see him of all people.

Though he does seem quite sensible and practical even if no longer undead. . .

I don’t remember these guys; where have they appeared before?

Whitey was actually one of the first NPCs ever (Axes and Allies #4) and made a major reappearance at the beginning and the end of Ballroom Blitz.
Grawlf debuted during the baseball episode as a member of the understaffed healing team IIRC (and got dis-armed shortly afterwards).

Older than that. He was in the first level and sent them after the princess.

I think that was where the steam was rising. Which may not mean it was open.

I see blue arms. Could be the folks from Circus Minimus.

With some kinda… army of lava men or something?

Shoot, I hadn’t considered that! That explains the temperature rising ten degrees each day. The Derros are sneaking lava men under the castle, probably with the intent of sinking it into the ground altogether. Though that begs the question of what the fungi’s purpose is.

Wait a minute…the fungi is flammable. So, if the castle was covered in the stuff, and it all caught on fire…

I think you’re on to something. At the end of Circus Minimus, didn’t the magic powder that made the cotton candy golem fall in the lava?

While Dinkum was wishing for “an army of lava men, or something”, yes.

Could be. Perspective being what it is, it’s hard to tell if that’s a small tile or a human-sized invader.

Hmmm. Didn’t the same stuff that animated the candy/bubblegum monster spill into the lava with Grinner’s remains? He could be coming back with Derro reinforcements.

Ah, fantasy. Where getting an arm reattached is a weekend procedure.

Knowing his wasted talents Grawlf probably did it himself. With just some silly putty and a dandelion!

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the purple fungus on Grawlf a while back, while relevant, is not magic mind control fungus.
However, said fungus IS what all of this reddish stuff is, which likely would become bonus Creminions for use in taking the castle from below.

A real blast from the past! He used to be the White Night. Then he was the Night Wight with a plight. Then he was turned, then we learned he returned only to get spurned. For a long time he’s been all right, but now he’s about to get burned.

Are there still Gnome-Prices? Here is a strong contender, if you ask me. Well done! Very well, indeed!

Hmmm, does Netflix need a medical series for furry lovers?

I can see it now: Dr. Grawlf, DVM, DO, MPAc…

I think he’s a secret creminion imposter? So presumably, it grew back.

Something’s up with that for sure, but I’m holding my guesses as to what. There might be a long-term payoff to it.

If resurrection is possible, regrowing limbs is probably not that great a stretch.

Given Grawlf’s skillset, getting an arm back wouldn’t be much of a problem for him. It wouldn’t even need to be his arm.

This is a D&D world. Clerics have always been able to regenerate limbs with a 7th level spell. Except in 4e, but everyone knows 4e isn’t real D&D. In 5th, druids and bards can also regenerate limbs.

what really sucks is when your ring of regeneration was on the hand that got cut off 🙁
