It’s time for Tarta to face facts.

Mimic needs some sunglasses if he’s going to say things like that.

Sunglasses are of rather little use without eyes.

A sun-monocle for when he uses his eye, maybe? Would that work?

It’s more of a style thing, really.

Would being sunglasses have the same effect?

So, where is the real belt?

Wow! I’ve never before posted a comment so suspicious it needed moderation!

well, it’s pretty suspicious to ask where the belt is. And the T could possibly stand for Tartania.

Last panel. The Princess really belted Tarta.

Ironically, the belt is hidden inside Mimic.

Who could have predicted that Mimic would disguise himself as a common, unassuming piece of fashionwear?

A magical artifact powerful enough to instantly change a whole world is neither common nor unassuming.

It’s the only magical item we have seen two of in the comic.

    Where is this taking place?

This forest path is obviously not the black market and is equally obviously also not the mail desk.

Panel 4 might suggests they’re back at the castle for some reason?

They were re-genreing for quite a while there, maybe they traveled all that way whilst chasing the Dwarf?

Besides, both the docks and Mail Desk were in different genres, so who knows, mate?

Deep Seattle was also either through a portal or hidden by an illusion, so who could even say where the boundaries are?

Probably back home. The Princess can throw Tarta into the dungeon here.

Minimaladine is just as precious as Maximadeline. It only occurred to me recently that Minimaladine is even staying true to the theme of using farming tools. And does the scythe fit her beautifully!

Thank you so much for making this webcomic. IMO it’s the best of its kind, I’m enjoying it immensely. I just recently binge-read through the archive (again) and couldn’t stop!

There are only “thumbs up” or “thumbs down” reactions available. In view of the proclivities of the people posting here, we need a “Groan” reaction, too.

I love the Calvin and Hobbes-style scuffle in panel 1.

Did anyone else read the “K.O.” and hear the sound effect from the Scott Pilgrim movie, or was that just me?

Is it me, or would Anti-M make a good friend for the Princess? Perhaps it will console her, the ability to kick back and have a few beers with Anti-M. Not to mention that Anti-M’s dynamite would frighten off some trouble.

Another villain redemption so soon? Well, A.M. is a fan favourite, so I could see it happening. Then again, I could also see her pulling a Bender and just walking out at the end of the chapter.

“Well A.M., I think we all learned a lot about teamwork and friendship today.”

“Yeah, that it’s for chumps. Later, losers!”

“Redeeming” Anti-Madeline would be missing the point. She’s explicitly made of pure evil (which is why she’s so small, there isn’t much of that in Madeline).

If you want a good Anti-Madeline, you can just go fetch Madeline.

But, on the other hand, being evil doesn’t mean you can’t have friends.

I was thinking more of a shift from Chaotic Evil the Chaotic Neutral, not necessarily Good. The party has a pretty wide variety of alignments, but I can’t imagine that they’d take on a token evil party member, especially when Anti-Madeline doesn’t think much of blowing up her allies.

Redemption? The Princess fought her way through a crowd of mind-controlled innocents without scruple. Why would redemption be needed?

Fair point, the Princess is pretty unscrupulous, but A.M. is downright evil. If I were worried about assassins and traitors, she’d be the last person I’d want to keep around.

Do we know Anti-Madeline’s position on the Law-Chaos axis?

Her personality has given me the impression of being on the Chaotic side, which would fit with her being the “opposite” of Madeline, but I don’t think it’s been explicitly addressed.

Overall though, her thought process seems pretty simple. She blows up whatever seems like it would be most fun to blow up. So long as you can convince her that other things are more fun to blow up than you are, you’re relatively safe. If she runs out of other things to blow up, though…
