Rusty has a fear of fire. You would too if you lived in a dungeon and ran into wizards at random.

Just a side note. Gold doesn’t rust/oxidize. I guess teh rusty wouldn’t know any better but then again it is like his food.

Maybe they mint coins from pyrite.

    That may be true, sasrail…BUT!

This here is D&D! To quote Gygax: “They roam such places in search of their food – metals of all sorts, but principally ferrous based metals…they will go after … copper, silver, etc.”

They eat iron and steel, but like scarfing down ramen if there’s nothing else handy, they’ll eat gold, silver, and other metals, too!

I don’t normally let the rules get in the way of a good story or joke, but you definitely found a time when I was true to the good ol’ Monster Manual, thedungeondelver. Congratulations! You’re the first winner of a Gnome-Prize!

If I may ask, what is a gnome prize exactly

(I suggested copper pieces, but Gnome Prize is far, far better.)

Dude, why are you guys so concerned about the rust monster?

I’m still trying to figure out how the princess’ hat stays on while she’s running.

The same way you’d stick anything else to royalty: Sovereign Glue.

“The same way you’d stick anything else to royalty: Sovereign Glue.”

Then she’d best have oil of slipperyness handy, as well.

It’s taken me two years and an archive binge to come across that pun. *Groan*

The internet is truly a wonderful place.

That is not a hat; it’s a growth. And she’s very sensitive about it.
