Oh wow, a paper fortune teller, I remember doing that as a kid. Guess I don’t have the Gift though, because I never summoned anything. Or maybe I should have use the glitter pen.

The Proper Rituals are important for a reason.

Those are excuses. If he’s ready to take it seriously with Madeleine, it’s not abusing. He’s afraid to ask.

Using literal cosmic magical powers to “ask” about someone seems less like courage and more like being a creepy stalker. I’m glad Derek didn’t go that road.

I’m less glad that he couldn’t take a hint when Madaline blushed beet red when she saw him, but that’s mostly because it reminds me of my own social obliviousness.

The courageous course of action would be to ask Madeline, not to ask some stalkerish higher power.

Pretty sure the Kiss The Shooketh The Comment Section was a big clue.

Now, is he brave enough to follow up? He’s the defensive type so Maddie might just have to pursue him, lay siege to his bulwarks, and invade his emotional castle.

When I wrote the question I was thinking about a typical “Will Inhave a long and healthy life? Will I gain wealth? Will Infind love?”

And the answers being “You can heal thyself so your life will be quite healthy. You have a nice cache of magic items. And for your love life… (Enters Maddeline and she starts shrinking like a violet) Dude, you REALLY have dumped the “Spot”, the “Sense Motive” and thw “Notice a Cute Girl when she’s head over heels for you” skills, haven’t you?”

Sorry for any grammar error. Yo hablo español

That’d be a lot like hiring a private investigator to spy on a new girlfriend.

Sure, if you ask about her. What if he asks about himself?

This is Derek. He can tap into celestial energies to observe events across time and space. But can he see why kids love Cinnamon Toast Crunch?

“Whenever I ask an Elder God from beyond the veil of the mind about cinnamon toast crunch, they just have a seizure and screech “the destroyer is manifest” for 5 minutes.”

Unless he was an elf in his youth, probably not him as a child.

Probably put a demon in her head who cheated on the test and committed a series of murders using her body.

I find HILARIOUS how Madeleine blushed at the very mention of Derek’s name.

And now, it’s Derek the one blushing for her!!!
