Level 6: #36
Chapter: Comic, Level 6 — Fangs for Nothing
Thought we'd try something a little different this week.
In other news: The Rusty Plush Kickstarter is halfway over! Have you gotten your pre-order yet?

It’s a trap! We were right!

If all you have is a shovel, every problem starts looking like a triangle.
Eat geometry?
Is it possible to actually finish the game?
Excellent, but can you patch in an alternative to right-clicking for your one-button Mac homies?
Psst, fellow Mac homie: http://www.wikihow.com/Right-Click-on-a-Mac
Best solution at the bottom.
Two-handed: Ctrl-click should work.
Once a game artist, always a game artist, eh? Fun stuff.
My high score: 37202. What’s everyone else getting?
I’m putting it off until the weekend so I have plenty of time.
Let’s just say I am VERY good at dodging the cogs.
Poor rusty! He keeps getting fried. 🙁 Also, ofcourse Maddie picked the cube. LOL. 😛
I do believe she actually picked every piece and tried to cut them all into the right shape until she finally got it right.
Now considering she probably also tried the triangular one, one could wonder why she didn’t try to fit it before cutting it into the “right” shape…
She’s such a ?.
Er, I mean ?…
Duh, the square and triangle symbols aren’t showing… 🙁
Typical of her to solve a problem by chopping _something_ apart. They would have loved her over at Gordium.
Look over on the shelves; there’s bits and pieces of the ‘triangle’ (which – HINT – was the *same*colour*stone*as*the*door*) – dunno what happened to the circle or the star…maybe she chopped them up too small, or maybe were sitting on the trap door when she triggered it?
I take it back; after looking even closer, there’s one pink shard (triangle), one purple shard (star) and one yellow shard (circle).
I’m with Tseralith; how did she not notice the triangle was *already* the right shape, before deciding to chop them all up? Just goes to show that not everyone takes CHARISMA as their dump stat…
Well of course not; she’s a paladin. That would be like a sorcerer dumping Cha.
43053 was my high score. Thanks for the great comic!
52755! but most of it is just luck… when the platforms and cogwheels are just so aranged you can’t reach em from the start it can end quite quickly…
55851! Yeah, a lot of it is just luck and whether the cogs are near each other or underground and unreachable.
The platforms always seem to be juuuust out of reach. The game has potential, but it could use a little tuning up.
It’s a real blast to play, but a real pain when stuff is 100%% random as far as the layout goes. I feel like maybe if Rusty moved at a consistent speed, as did the flames, and there was stuff to slow him DOWN, to dodge, and stuff to speed him back up, it could be better. 🙂
I am just curious how she goe an equilateral tirangle out of a square with one cut?
It was not a very good square.
We don’t *know* that was her first cut, only that it was the last one.
Actually, if you look at the shelves in the last frame, there’s plety of chipped-off pieces of rock there.
Clearly it took more than one swipe.
RIP, my ears. RIP.
The game is awesome, the comic is, you’re awesome.
I was hoping to learn something from the game, but I never got more than 4 digits on the score.
Sadly it seems like the game doesn’t work anymore?
