It’s a tactical advantage.
The princess uses her fists to fight. Anyone using a bladed weapon will inevitably cut the bouncy castle open and fall through the tear.
I bet they didn’t assasinate her cause she’s actually the prodigal daughter. As a bard in a family of barbarians, she sorta fits the definition. Then again, I think most people were also sure that the words from a chest would be mimic’s.
I assumed the prodigal daughter is Madeline. Because that would be ironic. Not to mention she remembered something in the Games that brought her to tears, which she presumably told Derek, and which Derek of course is keeping secret.

That’s a real brite rainbow
Only brighter than last time because Derek’s pulling it up farther than the gnome did — possibly.
I wonder what the gnome got this time. And where Down Under they are going.
When the Princess gets back, somebody should tell her that inflatable bouncy castles aren’t very secure.

The tavern had perfectly good walls. It’s the Down Under effect.
Ooo! The Otherworld!
Does this mean we will get to see more of Zar?
Oh, it’s… Umm Junior (whose first name I forget)
Roxy, Derek, or Boxford?
Zar. I checked the cast page.
Looks like a meeting with our friendly neighborhood psion is right on the horizon.

Roxy might be an option, but not my bet. As I worked out four days after the discussion had moved on …
“But figurative or not, I can’t recall anyone who fits. Who left her (real or figurative) parents?”
… oh dang. Anti-Madeline is who.

IT’S A SECRET TO EVERYBODY.
Um er! Finally, a good friend.
The princess probably has amnesia and is starting a new life. That’s the standard cliche. 🙂
Roxy needs to stop smiling so much, Everyone will know something’s wrong.
