    Am I First?

What does Dorilys mean by “Lucky for you”? Making the next warning more memorable sounds rather ominous, not at all lucky.

      I suspect she’s being sarcastic.

Mimic is lucky, because it is the NEXT warning, that is going to be memorable, not THIS ONE.

Is he heading into the room where Derek the Cleric keeps that magic 8 ball?
And on page 100, Kris is the one who gets a vision of that hipster god the vampires tried to summon.
And Anti-Madylinn did something with or to the 8-ball in Derek’s office.
“An evil neath the stade a Doogan shall free.”

Welp, things are about to hit the fan, aren’t they?

Yes, it looks like he’s going to go behind Chekhov’s Eight-ball.

Unless it was just referring to Mimic, in which case fair enough.

Mimic is TN if I’m not mistaken.

From the “And who was the wise guy who put a secret entry to the ominous mcguffin from the dungeon” department…

Kris is awesome, but what does he actually do? “Simple order (flee)” is a first-level bard spell, but seems to work like a charm for rogues….

If I remember correctly, he was hitting on Dorilys earlier. So he gets a +12 circumstance bonus on his “Annoy Woman” skill check….

I love that Kris’s only contribution to Mimic’s escape is repelling Dorilys.

I kept thinking Yakko Warner reading his opening line.

      “Helloooo green skinned, nurse!”

        I hear Howard Wolowitz.

I will never underestimate the power of negative charisma scores again.

Removing a guard is a pretty important part of an escape…

True, but removing the guard doesn’t usually involve a critical failure on a charisma roll.

A bad rogue tries to charm his way through trouble.

A good rogue makes failing to charm his way through be part of the plan.

I’m glad this goes to show that the jail bars weren’t actually keeping anyone IN. Its more like a reminder that if they sneak out, things will be worse, rather then actually preventing them from leaving!
