Wot, you think someone will step on that base to tag her out? π I’ll bet the Swingwraiths won’t, considering how the Nine reacted when Aragorn set them on fire. Someone could chase Stabs down and tag her personally, but considering her nickname and habits, that seems like a poor idea.
Pretty sure she’s fried chicken, at least until the medical staff get involved. That claymore did a hell of a lot more than 2d6 damage, that’s for sure.
I think explosions do damage more by sheer force than by heat. Unless I’m mistaken, if Pinfeather really is fried, we will have discovered exactly how hard you have to hit a harpy to cook it.
Exploding baseballs? They’ll probably stick gum on their armpits; which will set off a chain of events that will kill all their enemies and win all the trophies.
First thought: Why did Anti-Madeline set off the trap when it was pointed at a member of the wrong team? Will she do it again in the future?
Second thought: Never mind. It’s Anti-Madeline.
To quote an old animated cartoon series
” I’m (anti-)Madeline, I’m (anti-)Madeline, And though I’m very small.
I’m (anti-)Madeline, I’m (anti-)Madeline,. And I like explosions over all!”

She’s out! She never touched first base.

I mean, if you wanna get technical, first base just tagged that guy straight to the fences.
At this rate, neither team is going to want to go near the field or the other players.
Wait, did Pinfeather touch the base? I thought she was blasted before she touched it.
True, though! XD
Isn’t the base the thing that exploded?
Okay, this is awesomeness. I did not see that coming.
Also, I’m a bit relieved. I was worried about Claudia Pinfeather; she looks deadly.
Well, now she just looks dead.
Eh, depends on how high level she is.
Pretty sure she’s fried chicken, at least until the medical staff get involved. That claymore did a hell of a lot more than 2d6 damage, that’s for sure.

I dunno, pretty sure that blood splatter’s a good indication for ‘dead as a dodo’.
You didn’t see that coming? Imagine how Pinfeather must feel!
You know, if she can feel anything after that.
What happened to the sandy(?) bit around the ‘splody thing in panel 2? Suddenly, all-grass all-time?
The sand is an illusion. The explosion dispelled it. (Yes, I am totally making things up, but hey, it could happen!)
I’d believe it. it’s easier to recast a visual illusion on the turf than it is to resurface the turf every time someone blows it up with a mine.
Continuity error introduced by inking/coloring at 2am. Now fixed, thanks for catching it.
Awh, but there’s so few good uses for Hallucinatory Terrain in sports.

About the alt text, yep, Stabs is now starting to enjoy the game. In fact, she’s having a blast.
Yeah she’s getting a chance to explode onto center stage.
Not quite center stage yet, it’s just left first base. Still, beats being struck out every inning.
Her career opportunities are booming.
Considering how Stabs got her hit, exploding baseballs isn’t such a good idea, Drago-boy…
The wall in the last panel…ouch.
I’ve heard of foul balls, but foul infielders is something new. Or perhaps he just became a short stop.
[TGY]:
Well, they’re certainly shorter than they were just moments before, so β¦
π
I dunno, fowl infielders was kind of her whole shtick.
Tomorrow’s headline in the Sports section: ” Fleet feet flame foolish fowl fielder! “
I see you achieved your 20th level in alliteration skills…
Pretty sure the harpy named Clawdia is probably a she.
I like this minotaur.
Every minotaur needs a maze and covets a maze. That’s why they are amazing.
We are pretty great <3
Anyone hear the sound effect of an old, Super Mario Bros. 3 era Bob-Omb when the left first base plate exploded? Or was that just me?

the best prophet of the future is the past.
that is deep
Byron seems to have a rather cliche approach to minotaurs’ situational Wisdom boost.
