Wait so, a beheading at half-time is perfectly normal but the whole fiasco during robenspeirre’s teams match was entirely illegal? What a strange game.
Bureaucracy was the special rule thrown into robenspeirre’s teams. It’s why there was a bunch of rules…Also so long as it doesn’t really involve attempting to assassinate the princess, it seems legal, there was speculation that what happened during their round did.
Unless it’s not him at all, but a Myconid duplicate in disguise! SPOOKY!
But seriously, looking at the sleeve, it looks like the cloth is folded up and pinned like a missing arm. It could just be a trick of the shading, but given the arm on the ground in the pool of blood back in the prior comic, I’m not sure what to think.
Even if the art wasn’t detailed enough, the fact that he’s using duct tape shows it can be none other than Dr… Grawlf, wasn’t it? Something like that. Good to see that he’s alive, both for his sake and because Rue Lily truely deserves a doctor of his talents.
Normally I’d chalk it up to artistic shortcut, but Mr. Medic has been extremely consistent with the blue eyes (take a look at the last panel of 8-92, for one).
Yeah, I don’t trust one-armed Grawlf, either. And not just because he’s using duct-tape instead of a hacksaw.
But, if we stop seeing her, then we also stop seeing all the amusing ways that karma can give her a slap upside the head for being whiny, entitled, and annoying.
“Humans, demons and demi-humans”? I know this whole comic is about monsters doing the unexpected, but what on Oerth are demons doing being “out” among the general populace? I wouldn’t think Princess would stand for this.

Wait, Dr. Frankengnoll survived playing with the fun guy? (Albeit missing an arm?)
Given the casualty rate, keeping the medics alive is the TOP priority

Also, dang am I early!
By halftime, not at halftime.
It’s a prop bet. Not bad odds, either. I’d take the bet.
Nothing there suggests that it’s *legal*, just that it would happen.
We’ve had buzz saws, they could have chopped off someone’s head
In the last game, stupid convoluted rules were the trap theme of the game.

Anyone else kind of really hoping the Swing Wraiths actually win against the monster guys just to throw their all plan off
The Smug look on Drago’s face (mug? Snout?) tells me that’s unlikely.
Besides, where would the fun in that be?
I’m sure that Drago has a plan. I’m also sure that plan includes Anti-Maddie blowing something up.
As all the best plans do.
Anti-Madeline might be more in demand for her rebuke undead ability, assuming she’s an Anti-Paladin.
Well, the conversation indicates otherwise, but that’s before she really laid out her cards.
That sure looks like Grawlf…
Looking back at http://rustyandco.com/comic/level-8-98/ it looks like the arm in that scene is the right arm, which it looks like Grawlf is missing here.
I am confused, curious, and want to know more.
My guess is that Dr. Grawlf is not missing an arm in panel 3, but merely has his arm behind him, where we the audience can’t see it.
Anyway, it’s great to see he’s ok, and back to enthusiastic medical malpractice. 🙂

Is Grawlf using duct tape? Piffany would be proud.

Whoops, that was meant to be a reply to SanityOrMadness
Calling it: something is inside the ball.
Perhaps “someone”…
Perhaps Holy enchantment? Undead bane? Both?
Is the bookie Lord Byron?
As opposed to Byron the Minotaur?
I wonder if Antimadeline can command undead.
Can’t get much more “no man” than Antimadeline.
Nice try, shapeshifter, but everyone’s favorite medic has blue eyes!

Oh, that IS a good catch…
That Elf is getting more whiny, entitled and annoying every time she puts in an appearance… =_= Can’t wait to see the back of her for good.
But, if we stop seeing her, then we also stop seeing all the amusing ways that karma can give her a slap upside the head for being whiny, entitled, and annoying.
Save the Comic Relief!
Panel 4 s great art. This is an adventurer you do not want to mess with.
This is the game that never ends! It just goes on and on, my friends…
