Nah, that’s not what Malevolous is really doing. I think that he was so touched by the gift of a cake that he decided to share it with them; however, since the cake was for Mr Purple, Malevolous has to make Norm Allman purple as well.
After all, Norm’s gift of a cake and candle has sparked a sweet relationship that is sure to flour into something beautiful! (Dare I say that the cake was delivered via a Ship?)
Well, I guess he forgot there’s a bard in the nest cell over and she’s about to hit him with a sonic spell, hence why the two halflings are plugging their ears.
Nice plan Roxy, but I can’t see it working. The prophecy said “An evil ‘neath the stadium a Doogan SHALL free”, so I reckon that Malevolous will get free regardless. And this may be the event that returns Maddy’s awesomeness back to the upright locked position (or maybe that’d be too obvious).
I’ve been wondering, what if Madeline’s full recovery requires being reunited with her evil side (tiny as she is)? Speaking of her, where is Anti-Maddy anyway? Could it be that cute little psycho is the real evil that a Doogan shall free?
You know, I can’t believe this never occurred to me before, but the wording is awfully ambiguous. “An evil ‘neath the stade a Doogan shall free” could mean that a Doogan will free the evil, like everyone’s been assuming. But it could just as easily be interpreted to mean that the evil will free a Doogan. Which may be about to happen; Malevolus has a Doogan in his grasp, and Roxy’s spell might force him to let go.
What I want to know is, why doesn’t Kris just slip out of the coat?
This all raises the troubling notion that Dirk and Kris *have* taken hit jobs in the past, or would consider doing so. Sure, they seem like lovable goofs, but how many lives have they taken for money? Were any of those lives Good, or even Neutral?
Malevolous is doing quite a good job holding everyone’s attention, what with trying to break free and and kill the Doogans. However, I can’t help but wondering: what’s so special about the cake? I sincerely doubt it is just to get the Doogans to Malevolous, especially since there was no guarantee Malevolous would actually capture them. It may be that a sonice shout from Roxy also triggers whatever is nasty about that cake.

Looks like Malevolus is giving the game away. Oops!

Let’s see… “she doesn’t like bad weather” meant “we’re gonna need protection soon”, right? I wonder what the hat means?
“Cover your ears”
Notice that both are — even turning blue from being choked doesn’t stop it.
Whatever bards can, thieve’s cant!
Maybe hat means sonic damage? 😉
Yup. I think so.
When I saw Roxy whispering to Stabs, I automatically assumed that Roxy was asking Stabs to challenge Malevolous to a dance fight.
Well, I guess he forgot there’s a bard in the nest cell over and she’s about to hit him with a sonic spell, hence why the two halflings are plugging their ears.
That sounds like a good plan.
Roxie’s bringin’ the thunda!
Even getting choked out, Dirk remembers his Cant well enough to get the fingers in! Good going there, Dirk!
Shout, Shout, Let it on Out
These are the screams that can knock you out
Come on – I’m yelling at you
Come on…
FUS ROH DAH!
Oops. Wrong multiverse. [closes door]
5 (unless the scale has a new upper limit)
“Once I get the hat, I’ll need a billy goat.
“For experiments…”
Don’t be gruff.
Guess that magic lesson with Perkins is about to pay off finally.

Who said that Malevolous is the evil? And who said he has to *stay* free?

He’s the support for Dirk; if he moves, Dirk will have to deal with his own body weight in addition to Malevolus’s arm…
“If you two *had* killed the princess…”
Who says Malevolus has to have perfect grammar?
This all raises the troubling notion that Dirk and Kris *have* taken hit jobs in the past, or would consider doing so. Sure, they seem like lovable goofs, but how many lives have they taken for money? Were any of those lives Good, or even Neutral?
Random quest NPCs are random no matter where you look, I guess.
I do notice that Malevolous has grasped that Derek’s persuasive powers are a danger to him. Or at any rate, his plans.
