Now the question is does shee have any jobs for for Stabs and co?
Also having gone through the archives twice now I’ve come to the conlcusion that Princess should treat the cast to a vacation after this. A resort, cruise, or really anyhting with a nice pool, an open bar, and comfy hammocks.
Oh yes, a nice vacation to a tropical island paradise when the long-though extinct reptilian empire attempts to awaken the dormant volcano in a bid to restart their plan for global conquest…
…eesh, maybe a nice cruise would be better. Sailing across the open ocean, basking in the sun, fending off the occassional sea serpent and dragon turtle, trying to resist the sway of the sirens’ call, and praying to any of the gods that will listen they don’t run across a kraken…
…er, how about a stay at that nice hotel? I hear the master of the place, Strahd, promises a bloody good time, just so long as they avoid the more ghastly portions of the house…
…um, ok, what about just a nice trip to the circus, just this time without any girallons in tutus, or fun houses of death, or cotton candy constructs…
There are three different ways Mimic’s last comment could be interpreted. It’s pretty clear which one he means, but I wonder which one Princess *thinks* he means.
Maybe, but this time I think it may actually refer to her hat, arm, and leg… or maybe the cigarette… (Princess is, of course, referencing back to Level 1.)
She can be tough and aggressive, but it’s nice that she’s surprisingly mellow with Mimic. Almost like they’re friends or something. To be fair, she was pretty much the first lady Mimic and his pals worked with, and they’ve come to her aid before, so maybe there are some feelings of camaraderie.
I think that’s exactly it, actually. Look at the way she talked to Derrick vs Mimic. She orders Derrick around, doesn’t take questions, and barely bother’s to explain herself when she upends his mirror. Meanwhile, with Mimic she asks for a favor of his help, discusses her thoughts back and forth a little over whats going on, considers he might be busy rather then just assuming he’ll drop everything to help, and even jokes around a little with him at the end.
I think she DEFINITELY thinks of Mimic as a friend, or at least a much closer confident then Derrick, the man she’s trusting to ward her in her sleep.
So it sounds like Princess has already figured out the first part of Derek’s prophecy: “Many enlist but few seek the prize”
i.e. a fair number of teams (and/or members of some otherwise innocent teams, possibly) have actually signed up for the Games in order to get close to Princess of ill intentions.

A vacation would be nice, but I’m afraid that after 2 days the cast will just find themselves neck-deep in trouble.

Vacations in a D&D setting would suck

She probably thinks he means the same one as Level 1: #25.
Maybe, but this time I think it may actually refer to her hat, arm, and leg… or maybe the cigarette… (Princess is, of course, referencing back to Level 1.)
@ Argus: Thanks for pointing me to the previous reference; my memory didn’t extend that far back.
@ Invader Cupid: I think it’s pretty obvious that Mimic is referring to her smoldering clothing, otherwise the joke’s not funny.
I suppose the princess wants to cigarette of the potential problems she’ll encounter.
How did Princess knew the cushion was Mimic?
Plot Insight. It’s a wisdom-based class skill you for DM’s Girlfriend.
I’m honestly surprised Mimic wasn’t the desk.
Feamles aren’t as likely to sit on the desk as a cushion.
Also he had to come out of the mirror-mirror, and cushions land soft.

But does Princess realize Mimic’s NOT talking about the cigarette?
Wow. I should probably read the comments to be certain my joke hasn’t already been made several times already.
You should definitely read the comments, because they’re usually as much fun as the comic.
“You’re smoking”
“Only because I recently stopped burning.”
