It’s not as elaborate as in Stabs’ bar, but I see the characters still enjoy solving problems through impromptu “Sid & Al’s Incredible Toons” live playing.
Given the look of surprise on her face in the previous strip’s penultimate panel, I’d say she was unaware of the change until they revealed the disguises were cast off.
Based on her behavior back on Pg.[Level-8-19], I’d say that she KNEW what they were, but she didn’t expect that phrase of Roxy’s to ACTIVATE them into attack-mode.
It frames her “bad attitude” (back then, towards Roxy) in a whole new light — if Roxy had been allowed to try healing that injured player, she would’ve exposed it’s REAL identity!
coming in late, but my take on this is: Lily ‘went through players’ faster than she expected, and took an…’alternative source of substitutes’…in *mind controlled* mushroom people; what the Duke did, was pass Roxy a well disguised Dispel Magic scroll (inscribed on that card), so when she read it, it broke the spells controlling Lily’s ‘players’, and…well, these folk are pretty rightly pissed about being enslaved and ending up on the surface and being ATTACKED by this mad woman. (fwiw, I imagine the pitch wasn’t deliberate, but a wide fling because the pitcher was ‘waking up’ in mid throw)
So, at the very least, Lily’s going to have some explaining to do to The Legal Authorities when all this is over…
…and IIRC THE authority and arbiter of justice in this kingdom is…well, let’s just say she’s not going to be well-disposed to Lily. π
My guess: the healer isn’t allowed to hit players, but the umpire, well, that’s actually part of his job. And inspite of his scrawny build, he hits hard!
Running on the assumption that the events from the prophecy happen in order. The catch, of course, being that they do not necessarily happen in public where word could get back to Derek.

Given Respondeat Superior’s actions the last few pages, I beg to differ, Lilly.
I’m eager to see what manner of chain reaction she’ll start this time
I suppose we’ll have umpirical evidence soon.
Bet it’s bad for the elf
Yeah, it’s a foul play. I’m sure there will be a penalty.
Not in baseball rules. You can stand there and hit fouls all day. You can’t foul out.

I picture it as:
“Living in Rube Goldberg’s World”
And his high priestess just started a new chain reaction.
Yeah, that flying whistle has got to be up to no good… π
soon to make some trouble for the fungus hoods
The Princess got in one little fight and got tentacled real bad.
But have they a plan past making her mad?
“Stop rhyming, I mean it!”
“Anybody want a peanut?”
So the elf will get blamed for her mask hitting the umpire right? π
I sincerely hope so.
I don’t recall this coming-up before, but based on Panels_3_&_4, it looks as though Dorylis might be a southpaw…?
…or is she ambidextrous?
She was holding her knife in her right hand during the bar fight, so I’m guessing she swings both ways.
Games won’t last forever, Ears. =_=
You’d better start running…
Hold up.
Am I misreading things, or … did Ears there swap out her own players for mushroom ringers?! 0_0

Specifically, the prophecy on panel 5?
yesssssss…..

Ok, not doppelgangers, mushroomers.
