It’s nice to see Madeline back in a situation where she is the voice of sanity, rather than the slow chick struggling to keep up!

Now that I have seen it I love that quote, it’s a great way to describe Madeline.
i like how she is able to quickly get into position to diffuse the situation, and looks casual. she wasn’t next to stabs last page
Defuse. You defuse a situation, by analogy with defusing a bomb.
“Diffuse” means “spread small particles over a wide area”. Like, you know, when you fail to defuse a bomb.

He didn’t even think Rusty would reconise the Elder god. ‘Not Evil’ my backside.
Well, duh. Rusty was playing attention to the IMPORTANT stuff: that nice metallic amplifier.
Hmm. Dealing with a psion here, I bet.
Gotta admit though, he knows how to speak to people. Saves a lot of time when the local exposition-givers answer your questions before they’re asked.
I hope Psy Guy has a heart and lets Rusty eat something, even if it isn’t his gold.
Hm….. has answers, here to help, knows about crazy elder evil things, and gives Madeline a little credibility back. Yep, I like this guy!
Stabs has a kunai! Madeline isn’t the only one who uses gardening tools to vanquish evil.
On the one hand, sure. On the other, kunai do have a history being used as weapons. Shovels and hoes? Not as much.
Not defusing is just a simpler way of diffusing a bomb…

I like Psionic Guy. Sy Onik-Guido is my suggestion for a name. Mother decided to keep her maiden name, married a dude with the surname Guido, thus the double-barreled name.
According to the Cast Page, his name is Zar.

One day, Madeline will encounter someone who can conceal their alignment, and will get hurt. 🙁
Doesn’t have to be someone with undetectable alignment; just anyone not evil with a reason to attack. Or someone evil who doesn’t warrant killing; killing someone like that wouldn’t end well for her.
