I concede that I would not have gotten that joke if not for you, Timber.
Not saying it was worth the trouble to get – just that I wouldn’t have gotten it.
Must be uncomfortable above the magma in her winter woolies.
I actually think Mimic’s interrupted planning is the funniest part of this page, despite how awesome that “don’t cross me” pun is. HOW is disguising as common, unassuming objects going to help cross a RIVER OF LAVA? How would something like that even WORK?! HOW, MIMIC?!
Maybe he meant a common, unassuming delivery from Amazon labelled “The Twilight series”, which the vampires would be compelled to pick up and take with them to their lair…?
Plenty of non-hipsters read Twilight ironically. (They seem to have missed the bit where the publishers can’t tell ironic money from sincere money and wouldn’t care if they could.)

He crossed her after she specifically said not too.
Mimic needs to work on his listening skills.

Heh!

No self respecting vampire would read/watch that misogynist tripe. The True Blood series is an other matter ๐
Well, they’re hipsters. There’s nothing a hipster might not do ironically.

A common, unassuming object… such as a ladder?
Or a bridge. He’s done an escalator before, after all. But she couldn’t wait, and instead of her crossing him, he crosses her.
I think it would work like this

“Here, take the meat bridge…”
Donโt tread on her, Mimic.
